I think this property has a lot of potential but there was a huge fire on the mountain. The air quality was poor. The air fire trucks were loud. The pool was dirty. It was not the hotel!s fault. I could smell the smoke and graciously the manager let me cancel my 2bd night. You definitely need a car up there as the bus does not run and it’s too dangerous to walk.

El estacionamiento tiene pocos lugares. Está vez al llegar al cuarto a medio día olía feo el cuarto, tuvimos que abrir el ventanal para que se fuera el Olor y si tardo un buen rato en quitarse.

Great gem in Chapala
This was one of the best hotel stays I have had this year. The front desk staff was welcoming, bilingual, and very willing to answer any question. The room was exceptionally clean. They had guest items like; shaving kits, hair nets, shoe polish, manicure kit, slippers all in boxes for you to use and take with you. Setting the standard here. The views from the 4th floor restaurant and bar are amazing. A little noisy from the road traffic but great to look at. The hotel has easy access from Guadalajara. The parking for a large vehicle is somewhat challenging in the garage. The outdoor parking right by the front door was more than adequate. There is an attached spa to the hotel. The negative here is that no promotional information was offered about the spa. Still wonder what we might have missed.

When they have venues, there is no where to park and you have to park on the street. They dont give priority to paying residents. Alot of construction going on near the spa area not a beutiful sight to see. Noisy

I sent an email after I checked out requesting that they hold a shirt i had left on a clothing hanger. I had checked in with only a pullover and a single shirt. I forgot the shirt, but said that I would return during the week. The email was never acknowledged. I assume that hotels regularly find items left in rooms. This item was reported by me within an hour of my departure. At the very least answer my email.

Great margaritas! No hot water at first but the situation was remedied in no time. Had a great nights sleep as we were on the road travelling through.
