I loved the live music on the friday night the vibes were great and so was the music. Being able to walk down stairs have a delicious breakfast and do a quick drive to crabbe mountain made it super convenient.

We had a unique experience being the only guests for our stay. They kindly opened the kitchen for our breakfast and supper and were super kind. We never felt rushed.

Rooms were not at all sound proof and though I suspect a great place for people who like to party with the live music until 11 on Fridays and Saturdays, it wasn't a great place for our young family. We stayed in the main building and it was much too loud due to this. Discounted ski passes were a nice touch though. Staff were pleasant, especially the young server we had the first night.

Really wanted to love this place as it was a birthday surprise for my husband. Unfortunately we weren't able to ski as there hasn't been enough snow, but we figured we would go anyway and take in the sights. However we ended up leaving after one night for several reasons. One, the room was tiny. I didn't realize when booking that the bathroom was down the hall. Also, if I was running a lodge with virtually every room available and a couple came in saying they were celebrating a birthday I would upgrade their room immediately. But that didn't happen. Fine. I was also under the impression that breakfast would be available in the morning but when we came downstairs at 9 am the restaurant was empty. No sign of anyone. And there is NOTHING in this area. You have to drive 25 minutes to just get a crummy gas station coffee. That combined with the icy roads and the lack of amenities and we just took the hit for the second night and booked it home. The place looks really cute from the outside though, and maybe it's better in the summer. Disappointing though.

The owner wasn't there to check us in, the restaurant was closed. We pulled up with our baby expecting to order a hot meal and get to our room, neither of these things were happening as the owner was 45 minutes away getting his daughter's nails done. We were travelling with a baby so we had to leave to find somewhere to get him a proper meal and bed. This place is basically a hostel with bathrooms in the hallway. Do yourself a favour of going to nearby Shamrock Suites, much nicer. Currently starting litigation process in getting my money back. Only book at your own risk.

We do apologize that we had an appointment at noon for our daughter and an emergency with our dog. We tried to help you as best we could while dealing with an emergency. We were rushing to get back out when you called and asked if you could pour yourself a beer at our bar and we had to say no because it was against the liquor license laws. The situation is not the way you have described it, our rooms are 99 per night when most hotels are 300 or more and we are not even close to being described as a hostel, the only guests that use that term are the ones aiming to destroy our business. Expedia processed your payment and it was done for the date you booked it for which was the previous day, we offered to move your booking by a day because we are kind and thoughtful people. We do not deserve the 1 star rating that you have given us.We are an Inn and things are not the same as a big hotel, but we are great hosts and we are incredibly sorry that you didn't have the opportunity to meet us and experience our Inn for what it really is. We work incredibly hard to create a warm and comfortable environment for our guests. We are a destination for live music and outdoor adventures. We have so many amazing guests and performers that can vouch for us and our reputation. Kind regards to you and your family.

It's unfortunate that you decided to leave because we had a talented musician Ethan Ash playing live music from 8pm to 8:45 and then had a world class comedy act by James Mullinger until 11 pm. I think if you would have lived in the moment and appreciated the full experience you would have been amazed by the talent. Hope you give us another try sometime and get the full experience of our family run Inn!We are definitely not a 1 star for any else reading these reviews. We do charge for our events, we cannot give them away for free. The tickets were 35 for this event and we'll worth it!

This was a terrible stay for us the secondnight into our vacation. The rooms were 8×10 , one queen size bed an 2 night stands touching both walls. The bathroom was shared by two other couples. We had to climb at least 20stairs to get to our room and then climb 4 stairs to the bathroom.I have a bad back and bad knees andit was 😖 awful We left and came back to at least 50 mosquitoes in our room and 100 little nats around the light. It was gross This was due to a window air conditioner not being installed in the window properly. We would have left but it was too late at night and out in the boonies. Horrible experience.......

Very friendly and helpful hosts in this lovely rural setting. Nice woodwork everywhere, comfortable for our needs (a slightly off the beaten track to stay in transiting past Fredericton.

These folks are very hospitable and their place is very clean but they need to be more clear in their description that the rooms DO NOT have ensuite bathrooms. They are actually more like a hostel with bathrooms down the hall.

We are an Inn with shared bathrooms and our expedia rooms description clearly state that the suitesare the only rooms withan ensuite bathroom. I wish I could reconfigure our Inn to have washrooms in all of rooms, I truly do. We are pleased to have guests staying at our family business and I must say the it is hurtful when we get reviews that cal it a hostel. Luckily we have many great people that appreciate what we offer and the unique experience of being a destination for outdoor adventure all year long and live music on Saturday nights. Hi there, I booked the Crabbe Mountain Inn with an itinerary that stated 10pm checkin but they did not honor that and sent me a message to arrive by 9pm which was impossible considering the traffic. I asked them to hold the room or leave the key somewhere as no employee would be there past 9pm but they did not reply and I had to find another motel that would be open when I arrived at 9:30pm. I am requesting a full refund for the motel since they did not honor my 10pm checkin.

Hi Holly, We spoke to you on the phone and explained that even though our staff member was leaving at 9pm we could still arrange for you to check in. We had 2 other late check ins at 9:30 on Canada Day, the front door was left unlocked and a welcome note was left on the table in the entrance with the key and details about the Wi-Fi, the breakfast and how to get to the room. This is standard practice for all our guests that do not show up on time. We always do our best to accommodate all requests. We did not get this message until the next morning and sent you a message to offer you to use your credit on the room for another time and to let us know what date you would like. We are very reasonable and did everything on our end to provide you a place to stay.

Overall wasn’t bad but wasn’t great we got there and the room was about 30°. They came in and put an air conditioner in but it took all night and only in morning I actually felt cool in the room. It was hard to sleep due to the fact that it was really hot. They had live music which was pretty good. Unfortunately it was right beside the family room where my kids tried to sleep and couldn’t get to sleep until the band stopped playing at 12 o’clock. I was kind of turned off at the thought I paid quite a bit between the two rooms and I felt it was pretty rundown due to the fact there was one set of blinds missing one of the curtain rods is ready to fall down and one of the windows was broken and had a hole in it downstairs and the gutter was unhooked outside and blocking the window from being opened. We did have quite a few issues go on while we were there first was the fact that the Wi-Fi didn’t work than the air conditioner and the microwave we’re on the same circuit so as soon as the microwave got turned on it tripped breaker, so I had to go see them again to turn the power back on. Also, there is the fact that there was only one bathroom between the two rooms for upstairs and downstairs. There was some outside our room, but I didn’t want my kids to be wandering off on their own in the middle of the night so was kind of inconvenient. They had to walk up 2 sets of stairs and come to the bathroom that was in our en suite. The complimentary breakfast pancakes and bacon were good

Hi Robbie, I really enjoyed our visit with your family and the kids. We really are a destination for outdoor adventure and live music, we had 2 events going on the day that your family stayed with us. We had a lead and follow ATV tour and the Firefly Music Festival the night that you and your family came. The weather in NB had been cool for the month but that day became unseasonable hot, so we were happy to install the air conditioner for you. We would like to have put it in sooner but we were both on the trails until 5 pm and then had to ensure the concert was organized, we truly did try to get the A/C unit installed as soon as we could. We have Starlink internet because we are in a rural area and the wifi is great, sometimes we just have to unplug it and plug it back in if we happen to have an issues. Our chalet suite is 3 levels and has a cozy seating area with a TV, mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker A/C and a room upstairs that is ideal if you have kids that need to go to bed early and away from the music. The blind in the living room was just broken and will be replaced but I wouldn't define the space as rundown based on a blind and I apologize that the breaker went due to a microwave and A/C unit running at the same time. We are doing our very best and we are continuing to evolve and grow and recover from the long lasting effects created by the pandemic.

The temperature of the room was uncomfortably hot. No AC. No breeze. No fan. It was so hot that we left at 3am after not being able to sleep a wink. The bar was noisy. No staff anywhere on site at night when we left. Never again.

Hi Cindy, We have air conditioners for each room. The weather had been cool up until the day you arrived, it became unseasonably warm very quickly. We are a destination for live music and outdoor adventure, and that day we were hosting an ATV lead and follow event, followed by a summer concert. We have a restaurant and live music every Saturday night. This is what makes our Chalet Inspired Inn unique.We apologize that we were busy with 2 fun events that day and didn't get a chance to install the air conditioner in your room. We had a lot going on that day but we always do our best to accommodate guests. We are a small family business that cannot possibly have round the clock staff available but we do our very best.

This Inn has a great family atmosphere. It’s only 5 minutes by car to Crabbe Mountain. All of the staff were very welcoming and showed an interest in how we enjoyed our day. All of our meals were tasty and are made from local products. We stayed for 4 days and really enjoyed ourselves.

I called for an early check in. The owner wasn’t in, but said it should be fine. I arrived at 1:15pm, but there was no one working. I waited a bit and then went back to Crabbe to wait for checkin at 3pm. I returned at 320pm and still no one was there, so I called. The owner said he wasn’t in due to an injury, but the cook would be in at 4pm and the other employee would be back at some point. He told me where to find the key and I was able to get into my room, but it was unprofessional and inconvenient for how much I was paying. I had my two kids with me (6&8), and when he realized that, he charged an extra $30 for the third person. The additional cost was unreasonable, as they are small children and we shared the bed. We couldn’t sleep until after 9pm with everyone downstairs being so loud in the bar/restaurant, so I don’t recommend for people with children or for those who are looking for a quiet, early night. We were looking forward to the outdoor hot tub, but it was broken. The room had a queen bed, a small chair, and a fold down table; fine to crash after a day on the slopes, but don’t expect anything more than that. The shared washroom and the room were very clean. I don’t complain about hotels normally, but the entire experience was lacking. I won’t be staying again, as the price reflects lack of other options, not what you’re actually getting: mediocre amenities and subpar service. $150 for a bed was outrageous.

I apologize that you had a late check-in due to my husband breaking his collar bone in a ski accident but I'm sure you can appreciate that we are a small family business that does our best to do everything we can to accommodate our customers. He answered the cell phone calls even while in hospital and waiting the emergency room, so he tried his best to be professional and get everyone checked-in, I'm sure you can appreciate the fact that we are a very small family business and a family emergency impacts us but we work extra hard to make sure our customers are satisfied. This was a very upsetting situation to see broken bones, requiring surgery and we apologize that it affected you and your family. We did our best in the midst of a family emergency. This in not a reflection of our normal customer experience. I understand that you don't recommend us for families, however we have many families that truly enjoy the fact that we offer live music. We are a destination for outdoor adventure and live music on Saturday nights. That is what makes us unique. We are located 3 minutes from the ski hill and a multitude of outdoor adventures. We are proud of our rural location and what we have created, thank you.

This is a very unfair review that is aimed at hurting our business reputation, we are very trustworthy with our advertising and marketing, unfortunately customers are looking for cheap rooms without researching what they reseve and then complaining about the rooms they book, there seems to be no recourse for Tourism Operators. The customers get to leave very hurtful untrue review and we have no one to help us remove the comments from the internet. Negative online reviews are very harmful to small family businesses. We don't mind getting respectful feedback to help us improve our business but there are a few guidelines that the platforms need to implement and need to have customers adhere to, the platforms are accountable for hurting businesses if they keep untrue comments on their platforms. We are in a small rural community and rely on social media to advertise. We need help from platforms to create a fair and level playing field. There are some customers that seek to destroy companies and have impossible expectations, yet they have all the power and get to write lengthy hateful reviews with no personal consequences. Most times they do not use their real names and they feel emboldened to slander owners, staff and businesses because they are hidden from the public and prefer to do online reviews instead of face to face feedback. The online platforms are very helpful but in some caes customers feel it's their right to say anything about any business or person who works at that business, but that is an unreasonable challenge for businesses that has been created by the online platforms. We need platforms to create a fair playing field to require respectful professional constructive feedback standards for both customers and businesses.

The staff were friendly, polite, pleasant and helpful. The food was fabulous. I had the Maple Atlantic Salmon and it was cooked perfectly and very tasty. Slept like a baby.
