“Just 2 blocks away”

Casa Canabal is a great hotel. I had a really nice time there. The hotel is beautiful and the staff is great. The hotel is located 2 blocks outside the "wall", and it is basically half of the price of the hotels inside the "wall", it is a HOT DEAL. I really suggest this place, and you can also have the chance to see how is "life outside the wall". The place is near to the gay club Studio 54 and the salsa club Havana. The pool is cute and they have free bikes for the guests. Have fun!!!!

“THE BEST SERVICE IN CARTAGENA”

GREAT STAFF, VERY HELPFUL AND HAPPY PEOPLE. SMALL HOTEL WITH EVERYTHING YOU NEED AND MORE. THE ROOMS ARE LITTLE BUT EXTREMELY CLEAN. GOOD FOOD, BE AWARE THAT THE HOTEL DOES NOT HAVE A PARKING LOT BUT THAT IS NOT A PROBLEM AT ALL BECAUSE THERE ARE SEVERAL WALKING DISTANCE 24 HOUR OPEN. THE BEST ? YOU DONT NEED A CAR IN THE OLD CITY.

“Cool hotel in funky part of town.”

This hotel is one of the best places to stay in if you opt for the Getsemani neighborhood. Try for at least a junior suite if you're staying for any length of time as the smaller rooms are very tight. I can't say enough about the excellent staff - smart, cool and entirely welcoming. While the neighborhood is a little rough around the edges it is well worth investigating this part of the old town. There are some terrific restaurants nearby in the Plaza de la Trinidad (Tratoria was a great find).

“Nice hotel, unhelpful staff”

This is nice hotel, small and clean. Our room was also small, but cozy and clean. It's located in a rural area, so if you're looking for a touristy neighborhood, this hotel is not for you. We didn't mind it though, as we could see the city more like it's experienced by its citizens. The staff were nice, but unhelpful. For one thing, most of them had troupe communicating in English. The one guy who did speak English was never able to give us useful information. For instance, we were looking for a cab to o to Barranquilla. He did find us a vehicle,but as it turned out, it was a shuttle that would go all around city to pick all its passengers. The thing is, he didn't even know about this, until we asked him to find out more information. And to make matters worse, at check-out they charged us too much, apparently for a spa service that was never taken. After three phone calls and three emails they admitted to the problem. We cancelled the charge through the bank. After a week, they have yet to send us the final invoice. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anybody who doesn't speak Spanish.
