Lodging Options on Carenero Island are quite limited. We are really fortunate that we chooses the Hotel Dona Mara. The delightful owners, English speaking, are very proud of their property, keeping everything very clean, including the nice sandy beach directly in front. They serve a tasty free breakfast of eggs, breads, fruit and delicious coffee. Hot water was plentiful, WiFi signal was adequate for our needs. Of note their son owns and operates the very popular restaurant Octo, rated on Trip Advisor as #2 in Bocas Town. Give him a try too, you won’t be disappointed.
Stayed 3 nights in Jan 2019
