Lovely old farm house with character features.
Great welcome and very friendly staff. The house is beautiful and the owners have done a great job making it homely. We had a meal in our room as we were staying with a baby. The food was lovely and nothing was too much trouble.

Hotel is great and friendly hotels.com app useless
Absolutely should cling booked this hotel as hotels app said 10minutes away from my destination booked hotel put it into satnav and it said was over an hour away which is no use to anyone travelling booked two rooms and hotel Was good enough to confirm my cancellation but hotels.com took the payment for one room for one night absolutely raging with hotels.com app as it was wrong and I have now lost 113 as won’t get paid back through work, just noticed taken it out my bank and will not be doing any more business with hotels I’ve booked 130 rooms and this once it was wrong and they still charged me even though hotel was no use and it was only five minutes later I cancelled and hotels.com said they already had room made up lot of rubbish, I will not use hotels.com again only use it for the app which has been good up till now but app was wrong and I’ve been charged five minutes after booking,

Nice hotel friendly staff
Lovely log fire to greet us on a rainy day. Staff were helpful and welcoming and although we were a little early our room was ready. Food was good, there was a good choice at breakfast and our evening meal which was a last minute booking for twelve of us was excellent. We enjoyed our stay and would have no hesitation in returning.

Pleasant hotel and grounds
Under new ownership. Very helpful kind staff, the owners weren't there. Excellent breakfasts especially the porridge! Dinner was good too although the menu stays the same. The hotel is comfortable with wonderful pictures but is in need of some refurbishment . The water wasn't too hot but a new boiler was being put in and the kitchen was being renewed whilst we were staying. It should regain it's star rating but there is work to do.

Lovely family run hotel.
Hammet House is a lovely family run hotel deep in the beautiful Cardigan countryside. The fantastic historical house set in beautiful grounds is tastefully decorated and full of curious works of art carefully curated by the owners. Speaking of the owners, Chris and Nick have recently taken over the running of the hotel. Whilst they may be experiencing some teething problems such as staff not turning up for work and leaky rooms (this is Wales after all) they couldn't do enough for their guests. In fact they go beyond and any issues or concerns we had were dealt with immediately. The food in the restaurant is delicious, as is the bar menu, the wine menu and the breakfast. All this and you're located only a short drive for so much of what West Wales has to offer. Not the cheapest option but well worth a visit for a special treat.

Hammet House hotel review.
Excellent stay, staff and hotel. Just a few very very minor points - hot water doesn't come in instantly you have to wait a while. In the kids room (we had the family room) the blinds on the windows should be fitted with anti kid clips for the chains that operate them.
