Staff great. Room a bit tired but was clean. The grounds are great. Wonderful building. My main issue was noise of aircon unit on flat roof kept me awake.

Worth a short visit
Lovely setting and very peaceful. Single room was basic but functional and for the price cannot be knocked. Polite and well presented greeting staff. I'll be back for more soon.

Lovely old building with extensive, well manicured gardens. The room is fine & big enough with a comfortable bed.

Beautiful location, we had booked room 19 however this needs a total refurbishment. Paint peeling, holes in floor tiles, dirty running water in the bath, basin taps moved if you turned them, TV crooked on the wall. The Breakfast was poor. Food had been left out for a long time so was cold. Not much choice although the the staff did replace what you wanted. The hotel and it's lawn/garden areas needs to be revamped as could be a stunning location for weddings, staff were helpful but the condition of the hotel was disappointing.

Lovely hotel, although rather tired looking inside. Lovely and comfortable and clean. Could have done with a plug socket near a mirror for drying hair.

Very disappointing for at cost
When I arrived no one on reception took me ten mins to find a member of staff who only worked on tge bar and couldn’t help me locate tge recption team member I then had to spend yet another ten minutes wandering tge tge ground floor of hotel to finally bump into another bar member at a different bar who new where tge person was and went to get him the it took 10 mins to fill in the documents and received key after having to pay for extras. I was now in a rush to get to my job on time which put extra stress and pressure on me. Then when got back after work got to room it was like a boiler room far too hot uncomfortable. Opened windows but then was too noisy from the stranglers of the wedding guests still outside. The bed and pillows well if you could call them pillow s that is awesome bed felt ok sleeping on a rock. Got woken up at 645 due to loud fans I presumed from the kitchen extractors. Shower barley worked was like a trickle of water. The best bit of the whole stay way the breakfast which I had to pay extra for

Stunning property. views outstanding staff amazing food A star only faults furniture jn room starting to look tired bathroom door had obvious hole repairs and TV did not work... but still I will be going back

We stayed 2 nights for a funeral. The first room we were given was filthy and the shower didn't work. Reception promptly gave us the keys to another room to see if that would suit us better, no apologies given, but obvious acceptance. 2nd room still dirty but not as dirty as the first and it had a shower that actually turned on (a trickle - but better than nothing!), we had just driven over 7 hours to get here to accepted the room. The whole manor and coach house is dated but holds great potential, all serving and bar staff were fabulous and friendly, and nothing was ever too much trouble for them. A huge positive was the food at dinner. IT. WAS. FANTASTIC! Well done to the chef for dinner Sunday 25th September 2022.

An honest hotel - it is what it says on the tin
A lovely hotel, the room was comfy if dated and the shower has seen better days but this was reflected in the price, it is an honest and clean hotel. The breakfast was value for money - a decent plateful fir the full Welsh Parking was good and the staff helpful and friendly

Would have been a fantastic building in its day but a little dated now. My room was very spacious and the bed extremely comfortable. Bathroom spotlessly clean offered both a bath and shower. A little off the beaten track but suited by purposes for business meeting the following day

Waste of money
Rooms very dated,,bed sheets dirty and covered in dark hairs so requested a room change with no apology,,next room was slightly better,,in the morning at 10.30 had a member of staff knocking the door asking us to leave the room when their own official website stated checkout was 11 am

The room was disappointing as it was freezing cold no heating on in there after i put heating on it was warm next morning to the temperature you would expect for the time of year the bed was comfortable breakfast was very nice 👍 hot and tasty met some nice guests there in the bar

Staff were great but letdown by the general condition of the place. Very dated, beds uncomfortable and the shower was either scalding or freezing. Could be a nice place if the owners updated the rooms

Low Standard Hotel
The only thing that was up to standard was the breakfast Room shabby out dated and neither of the radiators worked in my room and it was freezing !! Very small TV with a bad signal meaning the television kept going on and off and the shower had very weak water pressure so overall wasn’t up to the standard expected .. but you learn your lessons in life so won’t be using that hotel again and definitely won’t recommend it to friends

Very good on the whole. The evening meal was mostly cold and the Tv didn’t seem to work in the bedroom and there was no shower gel in the bathroom. But we had a nice spacious room and the staff were very friendly and attentive, especially at reception and the lady who served us breakfast

Lovely surrondings and staff were great. Bedrooms run down, toilet handle damaged, tv didnt work, en-suite hook missing off door & extension lead looked poor in bedroom, another plug socket adding here would remove this.
