Property Amenities
The majority of amenities, activities, and gratuities at this resort are included in the room rate; guests will not be charged extra for the majority of amenities and activities (scroll up to the All-Inclusive Details section for more information).
Set along nearly 200 meters (650 feet) of powdery white sand in Cancún's Hotel Zone, this resort is located in an area of shops and restaurants. More shopping can be found two km (1.25 mi) at Plaza Caracol Shopping Center and in the downtown area, 4 km (2.5 mi) away.
Because the sea is shallow at this end of the island, just more than a meter (four feet) deep and calm, the beach area is extremely kid-friendly. Adults can keep an eye out from chaise lounges. However, all guests are advised to stay within the area marked by buoys directly in front of the hotel, to avoid boats and personal watercraft leaving from the marina next door.
Low white walls topped with glazed ceramic pots of pink and purple bougainvillea separate the beach from the serpentine pool, which winds through the grounds. One section of the pool is the scene for daily activities such as pool volleyball competitions and water aerobics.
Other activities include beach walks, stretching sessions, and Spanish lessons. Evening entertainment includes two weekly shows (Mexican and Caribbean) set on the beach, around the pool, or in the lobby, depending on the weather. Late-night dancing is popular at Up & Down disco, located at a companion resort, Grand Oasis, five km (three mi) away.
The health spa offers massage, body treatments, facials, waxing, braiding, hair and nail care (surcharges for all spa and beauty products, treatments, and services).
The hotel also offers beauty services, a hair salon, a gift shop, and dry cleaning/laundry services for an additional charge.

Recreation
The majority of recreational activities and facilities described below are included in the room rate for this resort (scroll up to the All-Inclusive details section for more information).
The main recreational attractions at this resort are its stretch of fine white sand, dotted with thatched roof shades (palapas) for reading and relaxation, and its calm, shallow water. A depth of about a meter (about four feet) makes sea swimming kid-friendly within the area marked by buoys. Guests can enjoy complimentary nonmotorized water sports such as windsurfing and kayaking, as well as complimentary green fees at the nine-hole golf course at Grand Oasis Cancún (surcharges for golf equipment rentals). Kids have access to a wide variety of amenities, including their own pool with waterslide and rock-climbing wall; outdoor play set with swings; amphitheater; and activity rooms with Ping-Pong tables, toys, and video games.
An 18-hole golf course, Cancún Golf Club at Pok-Ta-Pok, is about 1.5 km (one mi) from the hotel.

“Will return!!!”
I was aprehensive about our stay at the Oasis after reading the reviews on the internet. I am glad that I decided to ignore the reviews and go to make the decision for myself. My husband and I went with our three children for a week and had an amazing time relaxing and enjoying the amenities of the resort. The entertainment staff were EXCELLENT! They had activities going all day that we often participated in, they made them so much fun :) The kids club was AMAZING! It was so nice to have a few hours that the kids could go play, meet other kids from other countries/cultures and really enjoy themselves. Every day at lunch time we would see our kids walk to the restaurant with the kids club staff then we would go join them for lunch. The food was really good with a great variety and it changed up every day. The servers were GREAT. Bartenders... FANTASTIC! Overall our room was clean, the hotel was clean, everyone was friendly, the resort had every amenity that we could have asked for. The hotel is on the north end of the hotel zone which is actually quite nice because the ocean is calmer in the north end and as far as distance to the "action" of the hotel zone, there are buses that run up and down the hotel zone every mintue or so for 8.5 pesos per person so location is not an issue at all. We had an amazing time and I really hope that people reading the reviews on the Oasis take the time and make the decision to go see and decide for themselves...
“Great family oriented hotel.”
The hotel had great service, but you can hear other people in the other room. We heard people's conversations at all times, which was annoying. It was a great location because the bus is by the hotel and we traveled to the strip with very few pesos. There are 5 restaurants so many options to choose from. I will defiantly go back with the family,
“Friendly and Kids Oriented”
Summary: This is our first trip to Cancun, and we were happy with it. Oasis Palm Beach rated as three stars hotel, and it is as expected. We like: - kids friendly, staff were helpful, most staff can speak English. Kids club is good. You can drop the kids there and take a trip and they would be happy as staff will take them to lunch and provide enough activities for them. - Food: Good. We like the buffet cafe. There are lots to choose from and the menu seems to change often. We like the fresh fruits there. We also like the pizza at Dos Lumos. - Beach: quiet and warm; staff is every good at keeping seaweed clean and the sand pretty clean. I am not sure about the water though since there were lots of motor boat, I suspect there were lots of oil there. At peak, we can smell gasoline because of the jet ski. These are not from the hotel but because of the location. - Excursions: We did not take trips from Expedia although the local expert is very helpful and recommended Snorkeling trip. From our previous trip experiences, the kids like the pools and the beach so we stayed most at the resorts. We did take a speed boat/Snortkleing trip and the trip to one of the Island. We like it. Bars/Snack: good. Kids got fries, hotdog, drinks there ... Activities: there were 3 shows there, which were ok by standard. Staff really want you to involve in Volley Ball, Soccer, Ping Pong ... I played few games, but I like to relax and read rather. Overall: For the price we paid, it was a good trip;
“Can't wait to go back...”
Super vacation
“Really the whole family can't wait to go back!!”
Great hotel, cheap, great service, we didn't get sick of food like the other reviewers, we didn't face any elevators problem like other reviewers, drinks wasn't watery like other reviewers!! beach was clean and nice, so reasonable for the price...hey of you can afford more, then don't look at 3 stars and expect 5 stars service!! they give only one bottle of water in your room, but you get to drink as much water from any bar or restaurant, food was good, fruits ware wonderful, 5 restaurants, the rodizio dinner was sucks, the sea food dinner was great but small portions, take a taxi OUTSIDE the airport for $30 to the hotel, the whole area and Cancun is sooooooo safe, don't book any tours from the airport guys, do it from your hotel, trust me, cheaper, even inside the mall we found another even cheaper tour company, we only took the taxi 2 times and the bus almost 7 or 8 times 75 cents per person each way to anywhere!!. great friendly people everywhere, 10% of them speaks English and the rest is totally Spanish, don't expect much.
“i love it..”
i was reading the others review and i was a little scare.. but when we've got there.. it was totally amazing!!! i just love it.. everybody is soooo friendly.. everything i ask for, the give it to me.. it was great.. the food was good, the room was amazing, the hotel itself is AMAZING.. it worth every single penny..
“We keep coming back!”
We have visited this hotel 3 years in a row, most recently the week of 8/29/11, and God willing, we'll be back again next year. Hotel is perfect for families with young children ours are (8, 9, 11), and you can't beat the all-inclusive value. Large pool with lots of shade, decent food, and decent drinks -- staff is very curteous. Beach is very safe, no strong waves, only calm surf. The chain lets you visit other Oasis hotels during your visit. For example, we always take one day to visit the Grand Oasis for their big wave beach -- and still enjoy the all-inclusive benefits there. Note that the Grand Oasis is more appropriate for teenagers and college kids, be aware of the different atmosphere there.
“had fun!”
Really enjoyed the stay, service & food
