All accommodation options in this region are expensive. However, Highland cabins are well located (especially if you are a fisherman) and very comfortable. Gloria, the manager, is so helpful. The availability of EV charging on some units is great.

Pleasant surprise
We were a bit concerned about this booking due to its relative isolation but we were very pleasantly surprised. While the outside of the cabins look a little tired the inside of our cabin had been completely re decorated. Lovely bathroom and kitchen and a really comfortable bed. Our welcome couldn't have been warmer and we had a lovely surprise when we were given the opportunity to see some wombats up close and personal !. Lots of little extras including a small bottle of port and free use of laundry facilities. The wifi was good as well !! Very happy.

Excellent place to stay! Staff were very helpful and kind, the cabin was very clean. We had a lovely view of the bush from the cabin. There aren't many eat-out dining options in the area, but the cabin has excellent amentities.

Hidden Gem
Staff was very friendly and helpful. In the morning they had another local community member bring over two baby wombats that are being cared for. It was a great overnight stay for us. Great value!!

A wonderful place
Beautiful cabin in a peaceful setting. Manager was a huge help and being able to access the washer/dryer was very appreciated. Well appointed, comfortable and clean cabin. Undercover parking was great. Wish we could have stayed longer.

An excellent place to stay after a long drive. Very quiet and relaxing place. The host was very friendly and welcoming. The facilities were clean with a very nice port waiting for us. Recommend it to anyone.

Gloria is a star. So helpful. The amenities were perfect. Nothing had been over looked. Clean. Warm. Comfortable. Kitchen had everything you would have at home, even a slow cooker. Couldn't rate it higher. Brilliant stay. Will definitely be back.

We loved Highland Cabins and Cottages. Beautiful sunset views and so quiet. The cabin had everything we could possibly need...and more. The wonderful lady in the office made us feel so welcome. A really beautiful place we would love to stay at again. Thoroughly reccomend!

Great stopover
Bronte Park is a very small community but a good place to stay between Hobart and Strahan. Room was clean and had everything. Very friendly staff. You need to bring your own provisions for breakfast.

I loved the peacefulness of the property. Such a lovely setting, and only a short 20 minute drive from Lake St Clair. All staff were lovely and the visit from the local wildlife carer with baby wombats was amazing! Absolutely everything has been thought of to make the cabins self sufficient, even an emergency kit should the power go out.

Great place to unwind and just relax Ups make sure you organise a visit from the wild life cater you will not be disappointed Downs You need to bring all your food with you it is a 49 minute drive each way to the nearest restaurant Local shop is good for supplies but expensive The property is great and you really do get a get away from it all break in the middle of nowhere We will be back
