“Nice place at a nice price”
The Vista Alegre has larger and nicer rooms than other Spanish Hotels in this price range. English speakers staffed the front desk during our stay. The hotel has an attractive interior with nice, and original, art on display. The optional breakfast at a nominal price was convenient and worked very well for us. Location, though not exactly optimum, is within walking distance of both the Gugenhiem and the old town; also it is located near bus stops, and taxis are reasonable in Bilbao. Our room had been well maintained and was very clean.
“Très bon rapport qualité / prix”
Hôtel très bien placé. Chambre confortable. Copieux petit déjeuner. Personnel très agréable. Wifi gratuit au salon. Chambre très peu insonorisée....prévoir boules Quies.

Although a bit out of the city centre, the staff at this hotel really made it a very welcoming visit.

“Decent value in Bilbao”
A decent hotel - very friendly desk staff and all the basics well catered for, although there was no fridge in the room. Location was away from Las Siete Calles town centre area, but that's not really a problem, given the Guggenheim is an easy walk and taxis are really quite cheap.

This Hotel is clean and comfortable, it's near the City Centre and has underground parking nearby which is quite a bonus.

Bon accueil, mais la chambre était sans fenêtre (fenêtre noire et condamnée). Je ne sais pas si les autres chambres étaient de même . Autrement propreté irréprochable et salle de bains bien équipée.
“Vista Alegre late arrival”
Hotel is looking rather tired and needs some renovation. The room was clean and tidy with reasonable toiletries provided in a clean bathroom. No additional pillows in the room although I did not ask. The staff were very helpful, polite and welcoming. Garage is also a bonus at a resonable price. The hotel is situated in a rather seedy district so may not suit eveyone, but is easy to get to and close to major roads for onward travel.
