It is not a four star hotel. Few amenities in the rooms, if any. No fridge, no mini-bar, no coffee making facility in the room; no comfortable seating in the room. Some staff were great, others were miserable. The internet was okay, TV okay, food was pretty good. They advertise laundry services but they should advertise, "Laundry available hit and miss". With me it was "miss". I was promised that if I brought my laundry on a Friday it would be ready by Monday. However,I was told, on Friday, that 'she' wasn't driving today!! Okay, you do not have facilities on site. THEREFORE YOU DO NOT HAVE LAUNDRY SERVICE!! The area surrounding the hotel is beautiful. It is, however, out of the way; if you want to go to Nijmegen proper, be ready to pay top dollar for taxis or learn to walk a kilometre and navigate the buses. The buses in Holland are good and plentiful. They should call it a two star hotel because people would have low expectations and would be pleasantly surprised. But by calling it a four-star, they raise expectations too high and, consequently, breed disappointment in their guests. Not at all bad, but not a 4 star.

The room temerature was 37.4 degrees, no air-con. Only one powerpoint in the room incl. bathroom. Got ext. lead allowing my wife to dry her hair in bathroom, towels had make-up stains from previous guests. Room had a bed, two chairs and a little table. Nothing even close to what to expect from a 4-star rating. Location is great.

searching for a hotel online is very hard. You do not see the difference between A or B. This hotel was perfect. I recommend to have a drone style video of the hotel. Much easier to point out what the hotel is all about. See you next time!

Berg en Dal Spring Break
It was an excellent location; peaceful atmosphere; good size indoor pool which we used every day; very clean; friendly + helpful staff; good breakfast choices available; evening dining was superb. This hotel suited our family needs totally. Access and parking easy.

Top service
Might be time to consider carpet renovation or at least vacuum all corners for daily spider webs. Restaurant is always outstanding. If you're going to put two small beds together, would be great if you can lock them so you don't fall through the middle. Either way, best place for peace and quiet.

The only reason I don’t rate this top notch is because I cannot vouch for the restaurant. Otherwise my stay was great; staff was very helpful and dealt well with a complicated situation. Secluded area but right by a bus stop. Will definitely stay again.

Excellent Stay for Nijmegen Area.
It was Amazing. Quite Neighborhood and many thins around to do for people who love nature. 15 min, Drive from Nijmegen, great city with rich Night Life. Will certainly pencil it for my next visit.

Everything great except rude male night staff
Great nature retreat. Could use bigger or newer beds. Remove door that hides TV so people don't keep hitting their head and stop robbing your customers at the restaurant. Advertise 10euro Burger, instantly up price to 13? Beer served in odd wine glass for 9 euros? No ice machine or rubbish bin anywhere. Either splurge for one or put mini fridge in room. If not install ledge on window to keep drinks cold outside. They need to allow people easy access indoors from distant parking lot. Crazy to walk all that way in freezing cold constant temp.

A lovely hotel, a little dated but then aren't we all. Clean tidy spacious room with comfortable beds and more than adequate bathroom, especially the wet room style shower

Shame, could be nice!
They put in writing we could have 2 rooms next to eachother as we were with our children, then on arrival gave us rooms on different floors. Downstairs ok, breakfast ok. Upstairs awful. No air con, dated. Staff must have different training as manu things change depending on what staff you ask. Wouldnt stay here again!

Best Hotel in Europe for the value
We loved the hotel. Our 8 year old daughter asked if we could move to the hotel. Between the unbelievable welcoming at midnight, the amazing breakfast, the pool, the trampoline and play area, the beautiful surroundings - huge rooms. We fell in love. What a great place. Best service we have seen in years.

Disappointing and not 4 stars in our experience
Glad we only booked one night. The area is lovely and from the outside the hotel seems great. Parking was free as was wifi. The interior is incredibly dated and the carpets have seen better days. This hotel is not four stars in my experience. There are no tea and coffee facilities in the room and you could die of thirst waiting for bar service. We managed to get one drink all evening after asking for someone to serve in the bar. No mini bar so that wasn't an option. No air conditioning. The bathroom was so dated and the bath had holes in the side where some sort of rail had been removed. No shower curtain or screen so it was fun trying not to soak the floor!

The hotel locates a very nice place with lots of green. Staffs are welcome, but the hotel is not so comfortable because of its old age.

The location & surroundings of this hotel are fabulous. The rooms were clean but quite dark and old fashioned. The staff were helpful but the service was a bit slow and the food was good.

Great location, and a reasonable cycle into town.
Hotel staff are very helpful and all speak English at a basic level or better. The hotel is a little tired, examples being the stairs carpet is worn through and rucked up with age and older style crt tv in the bedroom however the level of cleaning is exceptional. The room we stayed in had a lovely bathroom which looked recently done without a single trace of mould on the grouting or shower curtain or smear on the mirror. The showers had great pressure and hot water readily available. It was lovely to hear such strong birdsong from our balcony and throughout the grounds. The location is silent at night and in the morning due to its woodland location. Replies to questions by email were within 10 minutes however there was a slight pickup when it came to hiring an e-bike. The inside swimming pool was a great bonus and the restaurant provided some great food.

A poor hotel. The lobby area is fine but the rooms are extremely shabby. The beds are uncomfortable and the whole place needs renovating. The pool is especially in need of renovating. Extremely poor value for money.

Helpfull and kind staff. Lovely location in the woods which was what we were looking for. Car parking facilities are very good with lots of space. Overall good value for money. Need to find out why we were charged a tax and handling fee on checking out when hotel is located outside the town centre. Other than that minor issue - ideal for us on this occasion and will hope to use this hotel again when visiting Nijmegen.

Oud gebouw, helaas met vieze vloedbedekking mn in de gangen. Heel jammer. De afwerking van de muren in de kamers is onvoldoende, mn de randen bij plinten en muur/plafond. Het bed zakt door. We zaten aan de binnenkant, helaas geen uitzicht.

Als je niet te hoge verwachtingen hebt van het gebouw/de kamer dan is het een prima plek om te overnachten. Het is gedateerd en er zijn dingen nodig aan vervanging toe, maar we hebben er prima geslapen en heerlijk ontbeten.

Mooie locatie, hele aardige ober in het restaurant. Verder vooral minpunten. Weinig handdoeken op de kamer. Extra handdoeken niet meteen te krijgen bij de receptie. Geen enkele uitleg bij de incheck. Poolen kost extra, de bar was niet eens open. Het zwembadwater was erg koud.

Mooi locatie, laadpalen voor elektrische auto (helaas maar 2 stuks), vriendelijk personeel. Staat van de kamer was teleurgesteld. Wel schoon, maar duidelijk aan vervanging toe: gordijnen hangen los, vlekken in de vloerbedekking, stopcontacten los, kan een verfje gebruiken, overal enkel glas (heel koud bij binnenkomst). Ook erg gehorig, hoor bovenburen lopen en naar de wc gaan.

Mooie omgeving om te wandelen of te fietsen. Hotel heeft moderne kamers en oude kamers. Wij logeerden in het oude gedeelte van het hotel. Kamer 258 rook muf bij binnenkomst en er waren plinten kapot. En vitrages die gaten had. Ontbijt was goed en nette ontbijtzaal.
