Bad service!
I got a call 45 min from the hotel by a man who insisted on charging my card right then. I told him we would be there in 45 min to check in, he said if he did not charge my card right then he was going to sell the room. While on the phone with him, I received an email saying my reservation had been cancelled. I tried explaining again that I was 45 min away and he hung up on me. I drove almost 8 hours, just to have to find an alternative 45 min from the destination. Please do not stay here, the man was rude to my husband and double rude to me. Never again.

Thank you for your reviewI am sorry that we fail to meet you expectation. Hotel was busy and your credit card declined for your reservation. I I called a guest to update credit card but guest declined and said he will be there and pay in 45 minutes. I explained we have to update valid credit card for your reservation to keep or else will be cancelled.Guest can check in late and we have no problem. We ho out and try all our best to take care of our guest.Hope you give us another chance to prove that.

Please update rooms
This hotel stay could have been better. The rooms itself need to be updated. The room we had smelled of mold including the beds. Leaving my clothes laid out thry felt damp. The rooms showed work but it wasnt done correctly. The owners seem to be paranoid that i spoke to the worker. This location has a second floor that doesn't have a elevator.

Nasty hotel
One of the worst rooms I’ve staying in for many reasons. Moldy toilet, garbage on floor, hairs in bedding and bedding ripped up, shower was dirty, not a single towel or hand towel in my room, ice bucket was full of melted ice, smelled bad. Don’t stay here

Nastiness.
It smelled like cigarettes. The carpet was sticky. The coffee machine had hair stuck to it. The toilet seat had fresh urine stains on it. The keys had to be reprogrammed after each use, and the lobby was locked down so you had to wait for the staff to get around to letting you back in. It was a horrible, nasty, bottom of the barrel hotel. If you picture a $25.00 a night hotel deal, this would be what you would expect.

The property was disgusting. It had a lingering odor in the hallway and in the bedroom. Stains on the “clean” bed sheets and missing pillowcases. The bathroom was extremely unsanitary as well.

This property needs to be updated ASAP. Stayed from 3/30 to 4/2. The building is extremely dated, dirty and needs to be repaired. At checkin, I asked the gentleman at the desk for an extra set of towels. to which he responded, "We don't have any. Check back tomorrow morning." I'm not sure if hewas just being lazy or was really telling the truth. Nonetheless, I went to WalMart the next day and purchased my own set of towels. The hotel has 2 floors, but no elevator. I'm sure this has to violate some ADA compliance rules. I had to schlep my luggage up to the 2nd floor via the stairs, which were riddled with trash, old air conditioners, and other discarded materials/equipment. The hallways reeked of marijuana - despite my room being a no smoking room. My room smelled of marijuana and mold. Bathroom was disgusting - paint peeling off walls, dirt in corners, floor not clean, and shower curtain old and musty. My TV wouldn't turn off. Towels and pillow cases had stains on them. The pillows themselves were old, clumpy and dirty. Some kind of substance was splattered the walls. I purchased a candle and some lysol and was able to sanitize what I could. The bathub had jets in it, which were showing signs of mold. Overall, I will NEVER stay here again. Since this is pretty much the only hotel in Bastrop, I could tell the operator of this hotel feels like they don't need to invest at all in this establishment due to being the only game in town. You should be ashamed.

They allow smotking on the top floor so all of the rooms smell like cigarettes. The carpet in the hallway & rooms were filthy & the bathroom was outdated & dirty. The furniture in the rooms needed dusting & the beds were old & squeaky. I could hear the person upstairs toos & turn in his bed all night because the beds are so loud. I will NEVER stay there again. The only good thing was the person that worked the front desk. She was very nice.

The room had trash on the floor. The bathroom wasn’t clean. The towels are old and dingy. There were a few flying insects in the bathroom. The sheets on on the bed were old, dingy and smelled unwashed. The sheets have a damp musty smell.

Only complaint is that insulation between floors is non existent. We heard every movement of guests upstairs. Woke us up at 4 a.m. when they both got up ? ? to use the bathroom.

My family and I traveled here for a funeral so it was a last minute booking. The owner of the hotel was very pleasant and when I went to reserve the room on hotels.com the information on the website was incorrect and the owner was kind enough to fix the situation with no problems. When we opened our room, it was cool and smelled clean. The furniture was a little outdated but the friendly staff including housekeeping made up for it. I would definitely stay there again in the future.

The hotel needs some serious updates. The hallway smells like mothballs and feces. New carpet, mattress, pillows and updated cable tv. Service was great.

Upon entry, beer cans found in room. Four hairs found in tub.furniture and handles sticky. Mirror had water spots. Speaker stolen from friend's room. Maintenance man knocked on my door, proceeded to enter, saw that I was inside and asked me if this was the room he was just in. Hummm. He had no cart, towels or anything else with him to tend to room. Alerting the owners was a joke. Nothing ever changed or got done until I saw the cleaning lady, gave her my to do list and tipped her for doing her job. Owner lied to me about my friend finding her speaker. She did not and never told owner that she found it. Don't stay at this hotel. Worst I have ever experienced.
