Beautiful place
The bedroom was cosy, warm and inviting. Shortbread cookies and fruit basket. Little fridge had sparkling and still water. No milk cartons thankfully but a bottle of milk was supplied. Bed was super comfy and pillows plump. Breakfast was delicious, plenty of choice, better than some 5* rated hotels. Will definitely return here had the best night sleep ever !

What a wonderful place to stay a most friendly welcome. A very comfortable room at back of building so no road noise. The best breakfast I have had a band b lots of options and superb mixed fruit. I look forward to visiting again one day

Superb hotel in a lovely location.
Excellent 10 night stay in this wonderful hotel. Andrews attention to detail and breakfasts are second to none. Didn’t want to leave.

Great stay owner was friendly helpful and attention to detail was exceptional little things like tongs in the sugar, fruit and biscuits in the room and the little fridge with a fresh milk makes all the difference would well recommend

Ok but wouldn't stay again
pretty small room (No.2) and tiny en-suit. Quite a bit of dust around the room in the unseen bits.The extras was a nice touch like a mini fridge in the room with bottled water and fresh milk, the handmade biscuits, bathrobes and cotton/buds to name but a few little extras i wasn't expecting.

Super B&B, well recommended!
A one night stay at the lovely B&B. A beautifully appointed cosy king bed room. Lots of thoughtful touches from the home made biscuits, fresh milk, cotton wool balls, mints et al. Friendly host Andrew and a quality breakfast to set us up for our walk to the nearby waterfalls. Recommended.

We was in the area for a stargazing experience at high force waterfall and stopped here overnight. The room was exceptional clean and well decorated and had everything in it that you could possibly need. The breakfast was wholesome with good quality products which was sourced locally. Lovely host. Would definitely stop there again if we happened to be in the area.

Our host, Andrew, was very welcoming. He was attentive, without being fussy, and gave us lots of info about the local area. Our room (No. 2) was spacious enough, very clean andhad a well appointed ensuite - bath and shower. The bed was kingsize and very comfortable. The breakfast comprised fruit juice, cereal, yoghurt, fruit, cheeses, cold meats, homemade date and walnut bread and homemade ginger cake - these were all self serve. The Best B&B in Middleton in Teesdale
We initially booked for a 10 night stay but added an extra night on top. But the host of The Brunswick is and was absolutely great and nothing was to much bother for Andrew. Our room was on the smallish size but still great quality, (Refreshed and cleaned everyday) and the breakfasts were delicious and you get both a buffet & menu choice every morning. Whatever you had if hot, is cooked to perfection. We did not an evening meal while we stayed but I understand that he does cook on request. There is an honesty bar fully stocked with all your favourites including wines. Overall a great place to lay your head.

Beautiful B&B in Middleton
Beautiful little B&B in a charming old building in the middle of Middleton. Rooms are small, but tasteful, clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was spectacular - full English, but also all sorts of pastries, yoghurts, cakes, fruit and juices. Wish I’d stayed longer! It’s listed as Barnard Castle, but actually in Middleton, which is a really pretty village with at least a couple of really good restaurants.

Great Venue, would recommend
Lovely venue, very clean and friendly. Breakfast was great and a good range of options all freshly cooked. It also benefits from having a nice snug and small bar service which in todays environment means you can relax without having to venture out although there is a great venue over the road that provides lovely food.

Really cute B&B in a very quirky house. Lovely surroundings i walked up to High Force waterfall allong the Pennine Way which was just stunning. The room was immaculate and the bed was gorgeous. An amazing breakfast. I wish i could have stopped longer but i do intend to return!

What can I say, the Brunswick is on the villages main street, but entranced from the private car park at the rear of the building. We rented 2 rooms for 2 nights, both of which were compact but spotlessly clean and containing everything you might need. The breakfast menu contained about 6 different choices. My wife and daughter went for the fruit and yoghurt followed by a cold meat and cheese platter. My son-in-law and I had the full English plus toast. Everything was spotlessly clean and well presented. Would I visit again?, most definitely.

Cosy accommodation in the main street of Middleton. Very friendly owner. Had a twin room, which was small and everything was packed in the room, including a real fireplace. Shower only in en suite which was quite tight to move around. Beds were very comfortable, although for me the duvet was way too thick and I was too hot under it. Windows only had shutters (internally) so not much good at blocking the light, as a result I was awake at daylight. Breakfast was superb, all necessary covid precautions had been taken throughout the building. There is parking available at the rear, but its a tight space and a narrow passageway to get to it. As we were the only residents that evening it was not an issue, but if busy could be better parking in the street.

Brunswick house break
The accommodation was very comfortable with lots of little extras, eg: homemade biscuits, fresh fruit bowl, small fridge with fresh milk and bottled water. Fabulous choices for breakfast. This is a very old building so do not expect the rooms to be large but they are adequate and beautifully decorated. We had a 3 night stay and we had taken both car and our motorbike as we were not sure how the weather would be, so the secure parking was appreciated.

We arrived have spent 6 hours in the torrential rain on our motorbikes. We received a warm welcome and offer to dry our gear. The room was spotless and very welcoming. The breakfast was cooked to order so extremely fresh and delicious. There was a lot of choices to cater for everyone. We stayed 3 nights and will definitely book again.

First Wedding anniversary
Stayed here for one night to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. Andrew and Sheila are great hosts. We ordered a bottle of champagne and it was there waiting in our room. Bed was lovely and comfortable and bathroom products were my favourites - from The Bath House. Breakfast was excellent. You could have a full English (cooked to order)or help yourself to cereals etc. Would highly recommend and would definitely go back

Brilliant b&b!
Andrew and his wife are brilliant hosts, the b&b is clean and cosy, with comfy beds and a nice welcoming atmosphere. Andrew particularly went out of his way to be helpful for us, when we asked for a taxi number to get to a wedding reception he offered to take us himself instead. On top of that the breakfast was lovely, fresh and tasty and there is even homemade cake available. Would definitely recommend and we will be back!!

A really superior B&B, with a first class breakfast - perhaps the best I have had in a B&B for variety and quality. Good location in the centre of Middleton. For a walker doing the PW may not be the cheapest option, but valuable early breakfast available for the leg to Dufton, and not just a drying room, but drying done for you!
