Nice hotel

Posted 11-Apr-2014
good hotel but apparently old, the attentive staff and tasty breakfast with lots of choices, pity that the bathrooms were dirty with the walls.

good stay.

Posted 10-Apr-2014
Pros: Hotel staff is friendly and helpful. Environment is pleasant and clean. hotel provides microwave as well.
Cons: more variety of food served during breakfast would be good. limited choices.
Location: Near to train station. One stop away from erawan shrine. There is a local market around street food alongside during noon. quiet during night.
Clean and peaceful place. small pool they have got overall pleasant stay. I had a room at level 10, no lift access to level 10, its only till 9. Overall good experience. Was charged for a bottle of evian drink as according to list 3 bottles was given but only 2 bottles was placed in the room all along. they actually have got complimentary bottled water served. Hotel staff is nice. Did not insist us on paying instead got me to write a comment that drink was not consumed at all. breakfast buffet like scrambled eggs and ham and bacon served hot. only cooked and served when ordered. not a common practice in other hotels I have been. thumbs up!

Good three-star hotel

Posted 9-Apr-2014
Location: Right across from car entrance to Bumrungrad Hospital, the best in SE Asia. 400m down to Sukhumvit Rd with Ploenchit Center right across the street.
If you're tired of spending in excess of $700 tax incl. for a decent 4-star place for five nights, this is a good alternative for which you'll pay about $240 for 5 nights. Pros: standard rooms are large with cozy wood cabinets and desk along one wall. Great staff. Large king bed. Cons: the large floor space is tile, giving a cheap apartment feel, and the tv is an old 29" tube box far from your bed. Hard mattress but comfortable enough to sleep on. Basic bathroom.

Not consistent n over-rated

Posted 28-Mar-2014
Pros: It's location next to Bumrungrad International Hospital
Cons: Almost everything
Location: Quite a few road side stalls, business-hungry taxis always awaiting outside hotel, 5 min walk to hospital, 10 min walk to main Sukhumvit Road.
The only good point of this hotel is its location next to Bumrungrad Hospital. Don't expect anything much as the facilities are showing its age, upkeep is low and not as advertised. For example, hot water not consistent & water pressure very low, old flickering & grainy box TV, cracking cabinets & walls/flooring, same few dishes for breakfast for the 4 days I was there, not very friendly/efficient staff, worn out & stained carpets & curtains, damaged safe box, not much security. That is what I get for taking their best room "Premier Suite". Can't imagine what it would be like in standard rooms. I go to Bangkok quite a few times a year & have tried many hotels. Not the worst in its class but much more improvements needed.

Near hospital, near BTS Skytrain, near Sukhumvit

Posted 18-Feb-2014
Pros: location
Cons: nothing
Location: BTS
I reserved for my wife's visa physical at Bumrungrad Hospital... The hospital entrance is across the street, only steps away. She got a free upgrade to a suite for her entire stay as well due to some miscommunications with Expedia... Woo hoo!

Older facility.

Posted 7-Jan-2014
Pros: The staff was pleasant and accomodating.
Location: Location was ok. A short walk to a Main Street .
The rooms were older and needed updating. The back of the bathroom door was filthy with many handprints. The floors were swept each day but not thoroughly. N o currency exchange available at hotel.
