Beautiful deco all aroud of this hotel and our bed room was standard room but it was big and wonderfull . Good location for Camino de Santiago rute.

The Real Casona de las Amas is an exceptional boutique hotel along the Camino de Compostela in rural Spain. The hotel building is a beautifully renovated 400 year old mansion. All of the staff are warm and friendly and provide first class service.

Great in this quiet town if you are planning to visit La Rioja wine region and Monasteries of San Millan of Yuso and Suso. Not much eateries on site. Lovely garden and pool.

They have an outside area w tables and there is no restaurant onsite. They also have no A/C in their rooms. We tried to eat outside for one night but we're told we could only eat in the room. Strange you cannot use the common areas outside esp if there is no restaurant onsite. It would make sense if there was a restaurant for dinner, but there is not. There are also not many restaurants nearby. So we were forced to eat in our dark room w minimal light as it is antique lighting.

Dear guest, Thank you for your comment. In the village there are two dining bars where to eat. In the hotel, no picnic is allowed in the garden areas, since it is a bar to serve drinks and snacks and thus not disturb the rest of guests. The LED lighting is new given that the hotel is new but set in the tradition of the old palace. Greetings.

The room has no air conditioning and the description fails to mention this. Even though the temperature does go down outside, the room never really cools down as one is used to with air conditioners and you have to keep the windows open, which literally means bugs come into the room constantly and you hear all noises from outside.

Happy stay!
The pool was cold. The workers were very friendly. The wifi was so-so. Our room had a great patio. The town is very small without much to do, but the surrounding towns are exceptional to visit and very close by. This is a very central location.

Not amazing
Hotel was not what we expected. We chose because it looked like a relaxing stop on our walk. The room was incredibly uncomfortable with no air conditioning. We requested a twin room when booking, apon arrival they could not provide without a substantial increase in price. The pool and restaurant were not open as advertised and the town didn’t have much in terms of food. We ended up eating fruit from the supermercado. Next time I would skip this town all together.

Small village hotel
It was in a very small village 15 minutes from Pamplona. It was a nice stay. If you was hotel amenities it would not be a good choice. I wanted a small village so for us it was good.

Lovely stay in this small renovated historic hotel. Very good service from the friendly staff and very nice breakfast. The village itself doesn’t have much of anything but that’s part of the charm. A 10 minute drive from other towns that offer plenty of historic sites, bars and restaurants

Fantastic Weekend in La Rioja
Fantastic hotel full of character and charm. Wonderful informative welcome with the team always on hand to assist. Great breakfast in tranquil surroundings. Comfortable quiet rooms with large bathrooms. Beds a little hard and there is limited storage space but apart from these small details the whole experience was exceptional.

A weekend in Rioja
A lovely hotel in a beautiful area, the decor has been well thought out and is in sympathy with the building. Very clean and comfortable with helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast was a reasonable price, and sufficient. The pool is clean and surrounding garden area private and well maintained. The village has two 'restaurant bars', typical of the area, the best and more popular one being the 'Bar Sevilla', which serves food from a limited menu at a good price. Well placed for touring the Rioja area.

Hotel of real character and style.
Well appointed Manor House hotel in the heart of the Rioja district. Superb decor, friendly and helpful staff. Provision of late night coffee would be appreciated as well as some bread with an otherwise superb breakfast. Fully recommended.

Overpriced hotel
While the building is nice and well kept and the bathrooms are very luxurious, the hotel it is located in a run down town with no really interesting restaurant options at walking distance. No windows from the bedroom side, and one small window in the bathroom looking down at a rundown and dumpy backyard across the street. The property does not offer any vistas of the beautiful Rioja Valley. The rules for the courtyard are very restrictive, guests are not allowed to bring their own snacks or wine and the hotel does not offer food after breakfast. The pool was already closed Sept 30th. Very disappointing. Not sure what drives the high price.

Dear customer, the pool is seasonal and closes at the end of it when comes the cold. In his case it was said that two days before had closed due to bad weather. In the courtyard you can not bring drinks from outside, given that in the cafeteria the serve. Sorry but you should follow certain rules when you're in a public competition site. Excellent hotel
Excellent hotel, close to wineries and Camino de Santiago. Great staff, outdoor area feels a different world. Local village bar / restaurant were very good. Only breakfast available at hotel but local is only 50 meters away.

Hotel is very clean with good decoration and helpful staff. Location is just another town in the area, VERY boring, you need to have your own transportation! I did not like that it lacks of restaurant, only serve a very limited breakfast buffet and with over 30 degrees heat (mid of September) you will have expected that this type of hotel would have air condition in the room, but NO, no air condition. ALSO…. - There is no spa at all. Just the option to arrange a massage with ONE DAY previous notice, no sauna, no Jacuzzi <<NOTHING to be related with the description. “Full-service spa”>> - Also there is no Winery attached, as the description say it is. Next Winery is at least 10 minutes driving distance.

A perfect find.
A great hotel in a very small village. The hotel is in a beautiful old house! The rooms are very tasteful, the bathroom of ours was massive. The staff couldn't do more for you. The garden and terrace is an oasis with a lovely pool! The village is very rustic, with two restaurants. We ate at both. Simple food. But yummy. We had 3 courses at one with a bottle of local wine for €10 each! Love the village, loved the hotel!

Expensive and not as good as advertised.
The hotel is charming but lacks amenities. No food available other than breakfast and the advertised spa facilities are not really available. Except for the historic and building definitely 3 star at 5 star+ prices.Nearest reasonable food is a 7 mile drive away. The local restaurants are really 2 local cafes with very limited menus. Nicely situated for visiting wineries in the Rioja but an expensive location. No A/C so if you need ventillation rooms at the front have the church bells going every hour.

Great hotel
Nice clean, well decorated rooms with comfortable beds. It was nice to have a parking spot for the car. We were able to end the day with some nice wine outside in the garden/patio area.

El desayuno muy mejorable en cuanto a la bolleria que no era reciente y estaba muy dura. En cuanto a la bañera de hidromasaje, para mi gusto las burbujas estaban muy fuertes y el agua muy caliente (me tuve que salir al cabo de 15 minutos)

Sehr schönes, geschmackvoll eingerichtetes kleines Hotel. Kuscheliger kleiner Garten mit Pool und Liegen. Gutes und reichhaltiges Frühstück - leider hat Hotel kein Restaurant, was sehr schade ist, da es am Ort keine nennenswerte Gastronomie gibt.
