Staff was nice, but checking in and out was very slow- only one outdated computer. Food was good but pricy and slow. The lounge had a real wood burning fire place which was a cozy place and a chance to chat with fellow travelers. The Inn being located in the park was a great to visit the park.

The food was good, our room a bit small, but the location was EXCEPTIONAL! Sitting on the front porch with a warm drink admiring Mt. Rainier after a long hike was the best ending to our day. Our servers went above and beyond to make our dining experiences enjoyable and relaxing.

Besides the long check in time, it looked like the Inn was understaffed, the facility was great. It’s what you can expect from accommodations in a national park. The food was great. The servers were exceptional. Too bad I didn’t get the name of the server who went above and beyond to bring our dessert on the balcony so we can watch the sunset.

Historical Hotel. Did not disappoint! Loved the shower and location of room number 1. Food was over the top with very generous portions. The view of Mt Rainier from the front veranda was stunning. My husband and I enjoyed our drive to Paradise and back. Very convenient location.

Such a special place. The hotel is definitely on the older side but the staff, customer service, and amenities are top notch. Will definitely return again in the future.

The ground floor handicapped room bed was fixed to the wall, and unable to be moved, leaving a 12 inch "walking" space between the bed and the wall heater at floor level. This was difficult to manage in getting into and out of the bed on that side. Theere was also only the bed surface and a small nightstand as solid surfaces to place luggage and equipment on. A second small nightstand might have been helpful. Otherwise a most pleasant stay.

It should be understood by everyone staying at the National Park Inn that this is a national park experience. That means there is no wi-fi, and the bathrooms will be shared. That said, I felt very fortunate to be able to book at the National Park Inn. Often, these kinds of places are booked years in advance, but this one is not. I hike early in the morning, so I was able to use the showers at 4:30 AM before anyone else was up. There are some trails nearby, which makes the Inn very convenient. Then the restaurant opens up for business, and the staff there is very friendly. I enjoyed the experience very much, and I would be happy to recommend it.

Amazing little historic place that gets you off the grid! The only thing I would improve is the food service—way overpriced (28$ for a hamburger)! But the blackberry cobbler was delicious!

Staying at the Inn is very convenient for visiting the park. The property is clean and cozy. However there are many conveniences missing from this property. Although I did know this ahead of time, it is well explained, it is slightly frustrating to not have wifi in todays world. Sharing a common shower is no problem however the cleanliness of these facilities should be carefully monitored. While it did appear cleaned often, it was still mildly questionable at times. The bed was very comfortable and the room was adorable. Having a sink in the room was helpful.

The room was comfortable and clean. We had dinner in the on-site restaurant which was very good. Our waitress Katherine was very helpful with her suggestions for both dessert and places to hike in the park. My husband and I enjoyed our stay very much!

Nice to find a Bathtub in our bathroom, and small plush beds though one was lopsided. Pillows were too thick. No wifi or service. Great restaurant staff, especially Kathryn. Great to wake up in the park- so quiet at sites.

We chose this location because of the view of Mt Rainier and the beauty of the National Park. The rooms are basic with shared bathrooms & showers, no air conditioning but comfortable beds. Staff was very helpful & friendly. Dining room serves excellent food, but rather expensive with no other options.

The National Park Inn is an historic inn inside Mt. Ranier National Park. Rooms are small, but comfortable and most rooms do not have a bath. However, we reserved a room with a bath through Expedia but when we arrived that room was not available and the manager explained that Expedia had overbooked the rooms. He was able to accommodate us in a regular queen bed room with no bath and provided us a voucher for breakfast. Also, be advised that the rooms have on TV or Wi-Fi service and we also did not have cell service.

Awful hotel, nice area
Awful Hotel in Beautiful Area We reserved a private room for two nights, paying in full for one night over a month in advance. Arrived very early in the day to find that they overbooked and we only had a room for one night and it was not private, sharing a toilet and shower with the entire floor. Tiny room with no A/C or WiFi. Desk personnel blamed overbooking on Hotels.com (through which we have rented hundreds of rooms with never a screw-up), which made no sense since the service always confirms availability with the hotel. They said they could not make the price adjustment for the significant difference between the room we paid for and the room we got, and offered a reservation for the 2nd night at another hotel a half hour drive away, which we declined. The only consolation was that dinner at the hotel was good, and the service from our waitress Dee (who was the only staff member we met who seemed to care about anything) was excellent. Avoid if you have a choice.

We enjoyed staying at the National Park Inn. Everyone was nice and professional. The area is quiet and peaceful. It allowed us to put down the electronics and enjoy nature and family. Especially like that it was in the park which was very convenient.
