Convenient to the action and free parking!

Posted 21-May-2015
Our flight home that evening was canceled and using Expedia, we booked at 4pm, drove to the hotel and checked in. In was seamless and easy. The hotel is close to the action and has free parking. It's not a fancy hotel, and as an executive assistant, I would never send my bosses here to stay, but for me, an adventurous 30-something, it was just what I needed.

Needs updating

Pros: Location
Cons: Beds, lighting
The beds were very small and the room was very dark and musty. I would not stay here again.

slightly disappointing

Posted 13-May-2015
Pros: The staff was pleasant, efficient and professional. It was a pleasant atmosphere (other than stated issues) and was close to town.
Cons: As stated, the walls were too thin and there was not enough hot water for both of us to get a shower.
Location: The Biltmore Estate is 2 or 3 miles away, Thomas Wolfe Museum and home is one block away. There are many fabulous restaurants and interesting shops.
Staff was very professional and efficient. They were apologetic and offered us a free breakfast when we had an issue. There was road work nearby and they lost water for part of a day. The rest of our stay, before and after that day, there was usually only enough hot water for one person to shower. very thin walls...could hear conversations in next room and in hallway. Could hear them using the bathroom...very unpleasant.

Good Location, Decent Hotel

Posted 22-Apr-2015
Pros: Pleasant staff, newer hotel, good location, nice in-house dining option, complimentary parking.
Cons: Not sure there's much that can be done to mute the noise from the adjacent freeway, but that was a little distracting.
Location: The hotel is located within walking distance of downtown Asheville's restaurants and shopping.
The hotel is pretty decent - clean, bright, and fairly well maintained. There is quite a bit of traffic noise from the adjacent freeway, but it becomes white noise for the most part. The in-house Chop House restaurant is quite good and reasonably priced. Room was comfortable, free parking was nice and staff is pleasant.

Close to town, walking.

Pros: Lighting in the bathroom. White bathroom. Lots of pillows.
Cons: More assessable outlets. Small refrigerator with small freezer. Small microwave. Room did not cool down enough for good sleeping. Way too warm.
Location: Good food, fun shops
All and all it was a good experience. We really like Asheville and would visit again.
