Great hotel in a great location

Posted 15-Dec-2014
Pros: This hotel was renovated several years ago and is very pleasant and comfortable.
This hotel is a good value in a great location. It is easy walking distance to the many shops and restaurants in downtown Asheville. We have stayed here many times over the years and will stay there again soon.

Great location and updated rooms

Posted 9-Dec-2014
Pros: modern, updated room. location. shower pressure.
The hotel was comfortable, as were the beds. There were some plumbing issues. The toilet wouldn't stop running, but the water pressure in the shower was great. The bathroom smelled like cigarette smoke in the morning... like the vents were connected somewhere to the smoking rooms.

Walking distance to town

Posted 9-Dec-2014
Newly remodeled bathroom, new linens, clean space. Room was on the 'town side' and was quiet with the exception of a couple of barking dogs early in the evening (not even sure it was a pet friendly hotel, but clearly there were animals there based on barking alone - my room had no evidence of animals). Breakfast in the dining room was good in terms of choices, not too busy and therefore did not feel rushed to eat and leave, rather linger over the complimentary morning paper and a cup of tea. Bartender, Jim, was very hospitable - though not sure why bar closed at 10:00 on a Saturday night!!!

Great location, but so much noise you won't sleep

Posted 9-Dec-2014
Pros: Clean, easy check in, plenty of parking
Cons: Please quieten down the noise for your guests
Nice location downtown, friendly check in. But I was placed in a room next to the ice machine (which was very loud). So if the ice machine wasn't running, doors were slamming. Come to find out the housekeeping office/supply room/employee break room, something was right beside my room, so they were in and out all night long. Made for a very difficult time falling asleep and staying asleep. DO NOT allow them to place you on the first floor near the front desk or you won't sleep a wink!

Convenient location & very helpful staff.

TV didn't work on the 1st night & the heat was so noisy that we couldn't sleep. We finally had to turn it off for the two nights. The faucet in the tub had come loose from the wall. In short the hotel needs renovation. I expected better from Sheraton.

New. Clean. Modern. Posh. Great location. Rooms were spacious and comfy. Treated to a free breakfast after a burst pipe kept us from having dinner at the restaurant.

stay was very comfortable

Posted 4-Dec-2014
Pros: General location and proximity to downtown
Cons: Knowledge about travel and sight seeing and guide the guests. They had no idea about the Blue Ridge Parkway condituions. We found with Internet
Location: It was great Very near downtown
As far as stay was concerned it was good. The hotel staff id not help much about travel conditions or travel sight seeing. They should have a travel consulting agent on the premises. This was absolutelylaking
