Nice hotel close to everything

Posted 22-Jun-2015
Pros: Location, comfortable rooms
Cons: Bed sheets-I was surprised that the bottom sheet was not elastic, just tucked under. It came undone immediately, exposing the mattress at every turn.
Location: Music is everywhere! We loved beer at Wicked Weed and food at Tupelo Honey Cafe.
We loved our experience in Asheville. If you want an affordable hotel close to everything, pick this one! Very friendly and helpful staff, who were willing to spend time with us, making recommendations for hiking, music, and food.

Good location and nice people, but very noisy

Posted 18-Jun-2015
Great access to downtown Asheville, but I heard lots of elevator noise, rattling of pipes, and loud a/c noise, as well as everything from the hallway and adjoining rooms. I found it difficult to sleep and was awakened several times during the night by noises. I also could only get lukewarm water for showering. The staff was very nice, and there was plenty of parking. Rooms were basic but clean and well-attended.

Convenient location

Posted 13-Jun-2015
Hotel was conveniently located near highways and downtown. Room was clean but little smaller than I had expected. Parking areas were a little dark and was a little concerned about the overnight car security. Overall a pleasant stay and I would stay again.

Asheville Beer Festival

Posted 5-Jun-2015
Pros: The staff is what I liked about the hotel.
Cons: The physical mechanics of the a/c in our room.
We had a great time in Asheville for their Beer Festival. Good food, good beer, good people. Our stay at the Sheraton is our second time around. The staff is the best! Very helpful to myself and 2 other couples staying in the hotel. My complaint was the a/c was not working correctly. It was just blowing air and not cold air. Other than that...it was good.

Best hotel for walking downtown Asheville

Posted 26-May-2015
The hotel provides ample parking and proximity to all the stores and restaurants downtown. Rather than an empty restaurant, the hotel should consider opening a thriving bar serving the many microbrews from Asheville. The room was clean but the mattress was dead (lost its springi-ness). The pool was nice but lacked the privacy -- it is fenced for security, but opened to the street view. The staff was professional and courteous.

Convenient to the action and free parking!

Posted 21-May-2015
Our flight home that evening was canceled and using Expedia, we booked at 4pm, drove to the hotel and checked in. In was seamless and easy. The hotel is close to the action and has free parking. It's not a fancy hotel, and as an executive assistant, I would never send my bosses here to stay, but for me, an adventurous 30-something, it was just what I needed.
