Close to downtown

Posted 12-Nov-2014
Pros: The price.
Location: Right by downtown Asheville, lots of restaurants and breweries nearby.
Hotel was close to downtown and it was a quick walk to a lot of breweries. Comfortable bed and cheaper price then most of the nearby hotels.

Close to Downtown Terrible for Sleeping

Posted 3-Nov-2014
Pros: Location
Cons: The beds and sound proofing.
Great place to store your belongings to go downtown, but terrible place to try and sleep. Beds were awful. You can hear every sound in the hotel from your room. For the price of a room I was very disappointed.

Pros: Location, comfort
Cons: Figuring out how to reach the lobby floor in elevator was confusing.
Location: Perfect for downtown events
Clean rooms, pleasant staff, comfortable bed, ample parking, walk to everything downtown.

The hotel is clean, well appointed and in a good location. The staff was courteous and helpful. The attached restaurant, however, was overpriced and mediocre. Luckily, there are fabulous restaurants in Asheville.

The hotel is located within walkable distance to Downtown Asheville. It seemed like the original property was aged but had gone through a major renovation. The room was basic but very clean. A fridge and a microwave were in the room. Two free waters were offered.

Convenient location, adequate facilities

Posted 12-Oct-2014
Pros: Location and friendly staff
Cons: Not much
Location: Close to downtown i.e. within 5-10minutes walking distance from every downtown attraction (restaurants, bars, music lounges, etc.).
My wife and I stayed at the Four Points for 2 nights while in Asheville for a weekend trip. The hotel is in a prime location, just at the north end of downtown and within 5-10 minutes walking distance of the heart of Asheville. Once we parked our car we had no need to drive anywhere to get around the downtown area. The hotel is modestly appointed but more than adequate for a brief stay. Our room was clean, reasonably quiet and free of many annoyances that lower priced hotel often have. Our room did not have the greatest view as it faced towards a condo complex and another hotel. That may have accounted for the quiet as the other side of the hotel faces the highway. There is a restaurant in the hotel and we used it for breakfast. Once again, it was adequate and met our needs but would not be considered opulent by some travelers. The staff at the hotel are3 friendly and available to attend to the guests' needs but this is not a high-class establishment with overly solicitous staff. Think more like a small town country inn feel. All in all a good experience for us and we will go back when we return to Asheville.

A fresh paint doesn't solve all problems!

Posted 11-Oct-2014
Turn on faucet, black mold rushed out along the side. Sink doesn't drain - washing my face almost overflew the sink (no exaggeration). The worst is that hot water doesn't get more than lukewarm the most, practically took a cold shower in the morning. Awful! Never had such a horrible experience with hotels, ever! The positive side is the location, very close to downtown venues. The fresh paint and lighting are nice.

I'm so sorry for your experience Holly! There is absolutely no excuse for the water/faucet issues during your stay and I am mortified this is what you experienced, Please accept my apology and know we are working hard to constantly improve our hotel. Your review gives me valuable information and allows me to research exactly what happened. Thank you for your time. Kind Regards,

room is basic, little tired, tear in upholstery splatter stain on drapery. Beds are good as is bath but the water in the sink was luke warm only and shower took a bit of running to warm it up. Room definitely has a mildew smell to it as well. Location is great, staff was friendly, helpful

Overall , good hotel. Clean lobby and friendly staff. Hotel was clean but just dated looking. Only real issue is that you can hear your neighbors in the bathroom. Rooms and halllways have a musty, damp odour. Overall, good value
