Nice rooms, comfortable with minor set backs
the stay was fine, i had things to do in the day so i was not in the hotel the whole time. But every time i entered there was this smell in the lobby i didnt enjoy. i also noticed the shower floor was a little dirty and i had to rince before using. the telephone in the room wasnt working either i had to go down to get water. otherwise the rooms were generally clean and nice for a day or two of stay. the staff had a few people that spoke well English and they helped us very well to check in. if they fix up these minor things, its going to be a much better stay for others.

The property was very convenient to where we needed it. The breakfast was very poor and cold. The staff was always courteous and capable. Although the price was good, I wouldn't return.

We liked Lion City Hotel so much, we stayed there again on our return to Ankara. They held onto our luggage for no extra cost.

Excellent hotel - 4*, reception staff speak very good English "and" they are knowledgeable city guides. Superb location, right in the heart of Kizilay Square, walking distance from the Metro, Buses, and thousands of shops, restaurants, night clubs. Taxi to/from airport is around 450 - 550 TRY. 4th floor very quiet with windows closed. Wifi speed is good. Clean room, large size, large bathroom (usual toiletries), large towels, fridge. There is a 24-hour, free, tea/coffee service (order the strong expresso Turkish coffee, and not the weak Nescafe). We took a 2-day trip from Ankara and they looked after our luggage free of cost. We were to move into our rooms early (well before the usual 2pm). They booked our taxis for early morning flights. Central location means its only 50 TRY taxi to the Ataturk Mausoleum and 70 TRY to Ankara Castle. This hotel is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Very nice hotel. Highly recommend!! Super clean and in the middle of Kizilay. Close to everything. Amazing services and helpful reception. Prices are very affordable around 700 TL per night.

Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and newly remodeled. I also liked the breakfast. Super convenient. For the money it is terrific and will stay again. What I didn't like: rooms are not carpeted, rooms are on the small side, no stands for the suitcase I kept mine on the floor, no safe, and no bedside lamps.

Room was comfortable, but very noisy - noise coming from neighbouring rooms and from outside on the street, some strange music played loudly all day from 7am until the evening and kept us awake. The toilet had a foul smell, which persisted after cleaning - room generally was clean. Breakfast was not very good. No tea and coffee facilities in the room.

Recommended to everybody who needs place to stay
Nice place, especially in the middle of the center of Kizilay. Everything is great: The room is clean (and cleaned regularly), breakfast is also satisfactory. I wish to have lunch and dinner included in the price.

3-night stay in July 2021
Older hotel. First day, they came to my room to fix the water issues upstairs. Then, my bathroom ceiling started leaking. I had to change my room after first day. They were nice about the change. It is a run down hotel. Internet isn't the best and elevator makes noises. Breakfast is good and location is excellent.

Comparing to the price, room and service was fine. Staff were kind and friendly. The only problem was tardiness in some room services like tea or water. I suppose it was because of the crowded time.

Mükemmel diyemem ama herşey ortalamanın üstüydü. Konumu iyiydi. Otopark küçüktü ama otelin çok dolu olmaması sebebiyle sıkıntı yaşamadık. Kahvaltıda aynı şekilde çok bir beklenti olmadan tercih edilebilir. Bizi en çok memnün eden şey sabah erken saatlerde vardık ve oda temiz ve boş olduğu için öğlenden sonra 14:00 ü bekletmeden odamızı teslim ettiler. Bunun için tekrar çok teşekkürler.
