Careful you don't get a single room
Be aware, that they seem to advertise a double or twin room, but if you book as a single, you get a single room. Which is really tiny.

Great hotel, close to transportation with a straight shot to the city center. Food and market feet away in a calm and safe area. Staff wary great, a very please place to stay. Will recommend to anyone going to Amsterdam.

It was right next to the train station which was very handy although our room over looked the train lines it was s very quiet room

I rather named it a hostel than a hotel as I didn't have glasses, cups or a kettle in the room as I usually expect those items in a hotel room. However, they have a guest kitchen near the reception area, where you can find all the kitchen utilities you need. It made my mornings a little bit uncomfortable to go down there from the 7th floor to make a tea. The room was big and properly cleaned with a very comfy bed. All in all, I enjoyed my stay there.

Christmas in Meininger Amsterdam 2019
Went for Christmas 22-27 Dec 2019. We were very happy with the hotel. A nice mix of families and young people. Staff were great and very busy. bricfeast was very tasty and convenient.

Hot Water Problem
I can’t complain except at the service in the last day when they didn’t know what was going on with the hot water as they said ALL of the hotel had none but when my mate woke up he did have and they still insisted no one did and wouldn’t listen, then wanted to charge a late checkout when it was a hotel problem preventing us leaving as no way was I flying without having a shower lol

We enjoyed our stay , best side of property is it's very close to metro station, Flixbus stand & Groceries store . Best property for bagpacker. We stayed with family and we enjoyed lot.

Fun and functional
Inviting, affordable hotel, near the train station, restaurants and grocery stores. There is a shared kitchen. Extras are very much a-la-carte. I stored my bag for the day for 8 euros. Breakfast is not included. If you have a pretty normal diet, it might be worth it, but if you're like me (I want my oats, fresh fruit, soy milk, blah blah blah) you are better off getting breakfast at the grocery within a block of the hotel. My room was a hoot--it was set up like a hostel, with a set of bunk beds and two twins pushed together. I'd happily stay there again.

The staff were super friendly and helpful, the hotel had all the amenities you'd need and the rooms were clean and well-kept. It was great being around the corner from the train station too, great location for a great price!

Couldn’t fault the hotel, asked for extra pillows which the man went out of his way to find, seen a couple rats out the front at night time but that’s hardly there problem with the amount of canals around, would defo return

Super close to the station but nothing much around
Very close to the station, however, nothing much around the hotel in terms of restaurants and shops. Mattresses were quite old, highly recommend them to change.
