They were in the process of replacing carpeting in main area and some rooms but our room had patched carpet and not good condition. Sink had a huge caulked crack in it. People were very pleasant. Hopefully the updates will improve the overall feel.

We enjoyed our one night stay.The hotel had a great indoor pool and large hot tub. Breakfast was good but, no meat. It was really quiet while we were there on a Saturday night.

The owner checked us in and was helpful. We had a nice large room. It was quiet; we didn't hear anything in the hotel or outside. No freeway noise. Good hot tub. Good breakfast.

Great staff. One of the cleanest I’ve ever seen for the price. Only complaint would be it feels a bit outdated. But it seems they may be working on this. Can’t beat the price and cleanliness. Their breakfast items are actually quite pleasant as well.

For some reason this hotel attracts a lot of smokers. It’s hard to walk in without getting some hand smoke. The hotel itself was very clean and the staff was great. Close to a Tesla Supercharger.

Everything was great at this hotel but when I got there I asked to upgrade to a jacuzzi sweet and he told me it would be 62.00 extra a night so total 134.00 for the two nights. Well today they charged me 268.00 so it was not an extra 62.00 a night. I wasn’t thinking and didn’t get a receipt because I thought it would be emailed to me through Expedia. I was wrong. Otherwise he was friendly and the place was great. No other complaints.

There were no towels at the pool area. Ask for towels, was told would bring some and never did. People were drinking alcohol and eating food in the hot tub and pool. The safety latch for the inside of the door was broke. We stayed 2 nights while my brother in law was in the hospital. They never came in the second day to take out trash or see if we needed clean towels.

Very friendly and helpful manager and staff. Great hot tub. Very comfortable bed and good price. Hotel isn't the most up to date but I will prefer to stay here every time i come to Ames. We have stayed here twice so far.
