I liked the neighborhood, the property is located about an hour from Madrid. We had a problem with our safe but was fixed on our return back to the hotel. Housekeeping did a good job. As someone who works in a hotel, the front desk should understand that foreigners need extra guidance and explanation, not look frustrated. I’m a Spanish speaker, so communication was not a problem, the attitude was.

Easter stay
Only two comments, otherwise excellent. There seemed to be no way of changing the room temperature, which was very hot. I think the thermostat may have been broken. We ended up sleeping with the window open. Also, the glass bathroom door. If someone uses the bathroom in the night, the bedroom is flooded from light from the bathroom, and wakes the other person up. Crazy design.

Good for access to Madrid airport
The hotel room was excellent and the parking was easily accessible. However, the hotel was further from the centre of Madrid than expected and there is not a lot in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. The bar in the hotel doesn’t open until 6 pm and the restaurant 8 pm. The evening meal in the restaurant was superb with a very helpful waiter. Breakfast also offered a wide choice of good quality food.

Very nice hotel that fitted well with my trip. Only issue I have with the AC is the location, it's well located if you're driving but not if you rely of taxis or have to walk to and from the centre where the restaurants are, it's a good 40 mins each way.

Great choice near Alcala
This is a good, clean hotel near the charming town of Alcala de Henares. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was really good, with Nespresso coffee makers. Room was spacious and clean. Bed was a wee bit past it’s prime but still more comfortable than many we have encountered in Spanish hotels. Only knock against it is that the lobby and elevators seem to be deliberately scented with a particularly virulent version of Axe body spray, but we overcame that by imagining it was evidence of the presence hormonal teens and then being glad they were gone. But you can find your own coping mechanism. Overall, a really good stay in a really nice place.

We stayed only one night, hotel reception spoke English & were extremely helpful, room was bright, clean & comfortable. Not sure why I booked this hotel for Alcala as it's in a residential area & 2.5km from the centre. Probably because it had parking available. However, there is an excellent & inexpensive bus service with the stop right outside the hotel & journey time is 20 to 30 minutes. WIFI was free but breakfast was extra. W'd certainly use AC Hotels again.

Functional and Decent
A very pleasant stopover hotel. Reception staff are helpful and welcoming. The hotel does what it sets out to be....a functional but comfortable 'business' hotel. There is little in the way of lounges or public areas, but the rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet. There is secure underground parking (at a cost).

Not at all a good hotel
The hotel doesn't look like a Marriott hotel! Rooms are very small. Beds are very old & not comfortable. No drawers & no additional chair/ sofa was there in the room. Always you had to seat on the bed which is not at all comfortable. Few amenities.

Wifi is not free. You have to join an ac club to get it for free. A pity A 4 star like ac do not provide fee wifi to their guests. Disappointing! No much around. Good bus service to old town. Breakfast was really good. Good 30mins walk to the old town

SANTANDER TO COSTA BLANCA
We arrived from Santander 11.30 PM We where surprised that we never had tea coffee facility in room, we used to run straight through from Santander( off ferry ) to Costa Blanca. We thought we could break journey by stopping half way both coming and returning to docks, but would have been nice to have had that tea before going to bed and relax before. Ken Williams

It was Okay ... just Okay
The AC Marriot in Alcala fell short of our expectations. Compared to other hotels we’ve used in recent weeks, at comparable prices, we felt squeezed for every euro they could charge for any amenity. Parking is provided off the busy street only at a premium charge. There is no clock provided in the room & only limited amenities, not including Kleenex, as offered by most hotels. It had one straight chair at the desk, leaving nothing else for people to sit on in a room for two people, much less a visiting guest. Want breakfast? It’ll cost 9€. Need an extra pillow? 35€. How about an extra closet hanger? (there were 4 in the closet) that’ll be 5€ each. But perhaps the real slap in the face in this mecca of capitalistic operations, was the inclusion of a “news channel” among the few English speaking TV channels they offered, that was actually a Russian propaganda channel (RT), direct from Moscow, that prides itself in deriding western cultures, by providing “an alternative perspective on major global events, & acquaints an international audience with the Russian viewpoint.” We had never heard of the channel before seeing it in the Alacala hotel & hope to never see it again. By the way, there was no channel guide in the room & the room directory referred to a “modern TV” being provided, however it was a older model, without even an HDMI port to watch a movie if you wished. The hotel is not a bad hotel, just not what we expected from the esteemed name Marriot.
