"The staff at Idlers Rest was extremely helpful and so kind and accommodating, especially Maxine !! Husband and I stayed for a week and was greeted every morning with delicious breakfast and hot coffee. Dinner was no different! Maxine makes the best brown stew chicken hands down! We will be returning!"

"Staying here was exactly what we needed. We got a pleasant surprise for our anniversary welcome that the entire family played a role in setting up. Sean and Geneva were quite hospitable and gave us everything we needed. Firefly was sooo relaxing. Its the kinda place that gets you in touch with just sounds and breath taking views of nature. 4x4 vehicle is most ideal for travel Definitely a revisit in que."

Sweet Escape ~the villa "Your Island Utopia" The Sweetest Escape

Lovely spot for a family vacation

"We really enjoyed our week at Sweet Escape. The house was clean and spacious, beds were comfortable, and we loved the outdoor areas (pool, pergola, beach bed, and beach). Mark was absolutely fantastic! He made us delicious dinners and hearty breakfasts to start our day. We took care of the shopping, but he guided us at the grocery store and made recommendations. There were plenty of fun activities to do within a reasonable driving distance of the house (Black River Safari (5 min), Appleton Rum Estate (45 min), YS Falls (30 min), Pelican Bar (25 min boat ride from the house)). If you want a relaxing place away from the touristy resort areas, this is it!"

Safe, Secure and Private.

"The property is situated in a good location, I felt safe and secure inside and outside. The house is well maintained and having a solid built feel to it. Theres as nice open park area on the right hand side over the road as the house is at the end of the street. Its well lit which is good at night. Most of the facilities inside worked well as advertised let down by the air conditioning unit in the kitchen/dining room area failing to work, a floor standing fan was provided instead. The front footpath gate lock was very stiff to open and close so I used the drive way gate to go and come. The two bedrooms are big and cool thanks to the air conditioning working very well in both rooms. Theres plenty of towels and toiletries available. Overall, I enjoyed my 14 nights stay and would stay there again, also I recommend it to others to highly consider it. "
