Just too old to feel clean. The floor of the elevator is SO dirty and gross, the hallways feel grungy, the rooms feel old but at least a little cleaner than the rest of the property. I thought we were booking a very nice hotel and I paid accordingly, so my expectations were a lot higher than reality. Everyone was incredibly nice, so that was a plus.

This place was so expensive but was old and it shows. Rooms with beach view were ridiculously overpriced. They gave me a room in a dark hallway right by the icemaker! The hallways had leftover food, coffee carafs, and trash bags, either full of trash or dirty towels or dirty sheets, not sure why this stuff was left in hallways for days! If you don’t like animals don’t go there, dogs and cats everywhere. I love dogs but not at the restaurant. If you don’t want to be around screaming kids don’t go there! We had a room on the first floor and the family above us had kids constantly stomping or screaming into the night, walls are thin, it was so loud! They had only one restaurant for dinner and you have to reserve to get a table which is stupid, I didn’t know, if you are staying there the tables should be first come first serve. I paid a lot of money for my room to be told with no reservation, no table and the hosts, 3 of them were rude as hell! We left and ordered a pizza and ate in our room! We took our bikes and there was no bike trail on the beach which is what we were looking forward to the most, so we had to ride on the streets through neighborhoods. The beach was ok, full of sticks, tar and possible dog poop because they let dogs on the beach. Which is fine if the owners picked it up. I am sure some did. Also they charged almost $50 for parking and resort fees, this still frustrates me just like Vegas! This place was recommended to me without the details, won’t return!
