We stay here often, very peaceful and love the gym and pool.

I would highly recommend the Riu Palace. A wonderful stay and the staff was excellent. Food was great and plenty of room in the rooms and around the Resort. Any negative would be there are only one bathroom quite a walk from the pool area. Still give this resort and accommodations a full 5 Stars.

Bugs could come in from underneath the glass doors

Not worth the money. The pool and gardens are beautiful, and the breakfast was decent, but unfortunately the positives ended there. Our room was dated and had a persistent odor that felt like a mix of humidity and mold. The ice machine in our building was out of service for the entire week of our stay, leaving only one working machine in another building. Basic amenities were also lacking: the shampoo felt like dish soap, and neither conditioner nor body lotion was provided, forcing us to purchase our own supplies at a local market. What made the experience truly disappointing, however, was a serious privacy issue. A male employee entered the women's pool restroom without announcing himself and proceeded to open stall doors even after being told they were occupied. The hotel stated that they would "open an investigation," but the incident should never have happened in the first place. Overall, this was far below the standard we expected for the price paid. We will not be returning.
