Skidaway Island State Park Cheap Vacations

As an international traveler with 30+ years of experience in the ground-up hotel business, I know what to expect globally. America is often known for its poor food culture especially its heavy breakfasts and unhealthy choices. However, compared to similar Hilton properties or other international chains in Europe and around the world, I have never seen such a lack of quality across breakfast, lunch, and dinner as I did here. The rooftop bar and restaurant atmosphere was beautifully designed and offered a very nice vibe, but the food itself was highly disappointing and vastly overpriced for the miniature portions. We paid $110 USD for two tiny chicken cutlets, a side of greens, and two beers truly ridiculous for that price and portion size. Additionally, housekeeping failed to make our rooms and beds. Yet, despite all of these operational flaws, the hotel has an undeniable appeal, and we would still choose to stay here again anytime.

I was SO pleasantly surprised by the pool area at this hotel. It’s first rate. Family friendly for well behaved children. The staff is lovely. The rooms are functional and lovely.

Staff were so kind. Room was beautiful. Wine and snacks were wonderful. Ice cream treat every night. Overall, awesome experience, highly recommend

The staff was excellent, the rooms and hallways are in need of major improvement and the air quality was poor.

We love old homes so spending a couple of nights in a beautiful 1890’s home was excellent.

Pool wasn’t as big as I thought. Nice hotel. I would also add a down escalator in the front entrance. Someone with bad knees would benefit from it without looking for the elevator. I’ve had 4 knee surgeries so I was thankful to find the elevator.
