(47 reviews) I have stayed in many 5 star properties, but have not received the level of attentiveness nor service as we have experienced at the Mont Blanc Hotel Village. The staff are truly experts at performing their respective jobs. I am literally the pickiest person when it comes to customer service and not only could I not find fault with anything here, it all exceeded my very high expectations. I am truly impressed. The accommodations are lovely in their traditional vibe, but with all of the necessary amenities (modern bathroom features, etc.). The chef is obviously skilled and the menu is very northern Italy. We have not explored the little village of La Salle as we have driven to Courmayeur to skate and ski during the day. Courmayeur is lovely and I can’t say enough about the Courmayeur Sport Complex ice rink and coaches. It was amazing being able to travel to Europe and continue my training by working with Marika Poli as my “on the road” figure skating coach. We will certainly return and bring the kids next time! (143 reviews) I have mixed feelings about our stay at the White Angel Hotel. While the property has many positives, there were also some notable drawbacks. Pros: The hotel is beautifully located in the middle of the mountains, with stunning views from the rooms, dining area, and pool. The property is well maintained, breakfast was very good with a wide variety of options, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. It was also very convenient to rent ski equipment and purchase lift tickets directly at the hotel. Cons: The biggest issue was the check-in process and room arrangements. We booked three rooms with king-size beds for a total of eight travelers. According to Expedia, the rooms accommodate three people, and we planned for my husband and me to share the bed with our 8-year-old daughter, which we’ve done on many trips. However, at check-in we were told the rooms were considered “double” and that three people were not allowed to share a king-size bed. Our friends faced the same issue. We were forced to upgrade to “triple” rooms (king bed plus pullout sofa) at an extra cost of €200 per night per room—€2,000 total. Since it was Christmas Eve, we had no alternative. Pool and spa access is not included and costs €20 per adult and €15 per child per visit, which adds up quickly for families. Lastly, the ski-in/ski-out access is narrow and located on a steep slope, which may be difficult for inexperienced skiers. (57 reviews) We stayed in a few other properties while in Courmayeur and absolutely fell in love with Chalet Svizzero . It was so warm and welcoming. The alpine aesthetic set the tone along with a fire in the central living room fireplace and Johnson pouring drinks from the charming bar. Breakfast,skiing,spa and a nightcap at the bar- all delightful! We will definitely be back ! Thank you all!
