Ilha Grande Cheap Vacations

The disappointment started when I asked about an early check in. The rudeness of the email I received was impressive. It was not helpful, not clear, the language was poor, and the tone was simply rude, to the point that I had to complain about it. The room itself felt like they were constantly trying to patch things up rather than properly maintain it. The toilet door was only half painted and showed clear signs of wear and tear. The same could be said for almost everything in the toilet. Near reception, by the lift, there was a socket hanging from the wall. Maybe they were planning to install a light there? I really don't know. The signs everywhere looked old and tired, and overall, I don't even have words for the condition of the place.

The pool, gym, and full 6th floor were closed during our stay with no pre warning. The only compensation offered was a massage which given the amount we paid for 4 nights I was not very pleased. The rooms were also tiny. However, the staff and breakfast were great.

This luxurious boutique hotel is perfectly located, offering gorgeous views and just a short walk from Rua das Pedras. The staff was exceptionally friendly, and the amenities were outstanding. We traveled in July, so the heated pool connected to the sauna was an especially wonderful touch. The bed was very comfortable and shower was great! This has become our favorite new gem while visiting Buzios!
