(1,461 reviews) For the most part we enjoyed our stay. The free breakfasts were good. The many pools were very nice. The foam party was fun, even if just watching from afar. However, it just feels like too big of a resort to have to take shuttles to breakfast or lunch or to the front gate. Most of the time the wait wasn't too long. However, during busy times, like coming back from town in the evening and of course you are tired and just want to get back to your room, the wait can be very long, and it can be a mystery how they choose who gets to go on the shuttle and who has to wait longer. Getting in and out of the shuttles requires a huge step, so it was very difficult for my senior father to get in and out of them. It would be nice if they could use golf carts to take smaller groups directly to where they wanted to go. Also, our room must have been in an older building because it was showing it's age and use (the bathroom vanity was scraped up, the mattresses were incredibly hard, the shampoo dispenser kept popping open). I'm not sure if I would recommend Fairways--if you don't mind waiting for the shuttle, then maybe this is the resort for you.
