(898 reviews) My wife and I stayed for 12 nights at this hotel to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. The hospitality started before we departed as we received an email a week earlier with a warm welcome and hotel instructions which are important because it is in a small town without big city facilities. We arrived late at night and since the restaurant was closed, the personnel offered complimentary finger food and a nice drink. Our room and all the common accesses in the hotel were impeccably clean and orderly. The equipment is modern (LED TV, Nespresso machine, climate control, exterior retractable awning…). The staff is very attentive and proactive to the guests’ needs (our car was turned around each time in the parking lot, cappuccino is served at breakfast without asking…). There are more subtle details that made our stay pleasant and without problems. There was a road blockage due to a fallen rock off a cliff and we were not able to go to the west of Praiano (Amalfi, Atrani, Ravello….the best part of Amalfi Coast) by car or bus. Suela, the owner, was very helpful in arranging alternate transport by shuttle, taxi and ferry. The wonderful staff made the difference in our sojourn and rendered it even more memorable. This is a family run hotel and the people are passionate and love what they do. We also loved the charm of Praiano and felt welcomed by the residents in the shops, or meeting them along the paths and steep staircases. . The locals made us feel like we belonged here. (267 reviews) We are Canadians who stayed 2 weeks at this hotel and so happy we did. This hotel offered amazing staff, great atmosphere, fantastic cappuccinos and espresso’s. The breakfast had an abundance of selection. Eggs, bacon the usual and of course Italian style. We would share a bottle of wine on the terrace at night and enjoy the view. We were there Nov 29 until Dec 13\. We would say the best time to visit Italy. We selected this hotel because it was away from the city center and more into the local area. Things were much cheaper especially groceries at PAM local. Favorite restaurant near by was I Belcastro about 10 mins away and the best margarita pizza you will ever taste. The bus is very close and the number of bus that gets you everywhere is bus 62 or 60\. Get a bus pass to save money at the local station. But if you want to burn off calories and take a great walk, we waked about 3 to 5km a day. You won’t even notice that you walked that far because it’s a pleasant walk. So try both. If your like us and don’t want to stay in hotels in the heart of town where a billion people are than choose Hotel Delle Civette. My wife and I travel a lot and normally go to very good hotels which are bigger, but we wanted to try a boutique hotel this time and it did not disappoint. We stayed for 6 nights. For starters, their people are wonderful, with a special shout out to Martina at the front desk and the young lady that runs the breakfast (we should know her name). The location is great, the hotel is in great condition. We stayed in a junior suite and it was a really good size. We tend to be on the picky side, and honestly we can’t find anything bad to say.
