Excellent location to paycor stadium

The staff try, but unfortunately that isn’t enough to overcome the issues with the hotel itself. Our first room was unacceptable: damp and musty, 81°F with the AC not functioning, stains on the chair, and a questionable stain in the closet that appeared to be wine—or at least I hope it was. To the hotel’s credit, the staff responded immediately. We were moved without hassle, maintenance replaced the fresh-air filter, and housekeeping attended to the new room. Everyone we dealt with genuinely tried to help, and they deserve credit for that. Unfortunately, the property itself still falls short of what I expect from a 21c hotel. No mini fridge or in-room safe (a fridge can be requested, but it’s 2026—just put one in every room), no garbage bin in the bathroom, a coffee machine that wouldn’t get hot enough to make hot coffee, and an uncomfortable, worn mattress. Individually, some of these are minor. Collectively, they make the property feel underinvested and increasingly dingy rather than intentionally eclectic or boutique. Ultimately, there were enough issues that we decided to cut our stay short and leave earlier than planned. The staff handled our concerns well, but good service can only compensate for so much. This property needs meaningful reinvestment before I could recommend staying here again.

August 2026 The location was perfect. The atmosphere was very clean and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable but could use more pillows. Now for the downside… The room service offerings were limited. The food at Jockey Silks was nothing but fast food. There wasn’t any breakfast offerings unless you opted to dine (and pay additional) in a restaurant. There was no complimentary coffee!! Numerous people could be overheard exclaiming the same disappointment each morning. And what really soured the otherwise perfect stay, 5/5 stars to a 3/5 stars was the exorbitant price gouge mark up in the shop: Third Floor Spirits & More - 3rd Floor, WEST Tower. It was awful and a gut punch to be taken advantage of which I do not take kindly to! The bourbons purchased (3) after some conversation with an employee, Duncan, were over $300. What was so disgusting was to learn that in the nearby liquor store and distilleries, the items sold for less than $50 a piece. On the generous side , that purchase should have cost $150, and we were billed over $300. That is an awful way to treat customers. Sadly, the shop closed that evening and wasn’t opened the following morning when we had to check out and head home. That is is a really negative feeling to contend with. I do not like being taken advantage of. I know I was taken advanced of. Poor business practices. Buyer beware. I would hope to be compensated for the overpaid mark up at Third Floor Spirits & More - 3rd Floor, WEST Tower

This is meant to be the flagship 21C and it was at one time, but it has started to fray at the edges noticably.. having stayed at the Lexington location recently I was saddened by the fallen state of the flagship. Even the gift shop was ramshackle. The peguins have all faded.. the room decor was tatty.. what was the meaning of what looked to landuary netting stappled over the beds? It felt like some charity shop try hard highschool art project. The bathroom lights were gloomy.. its simply a sad state of affairs. and considering the boom of small chic hotels in nearby hipper locations .. the 21c Louisville needs to step back into what they started as and bring it. They were the first.. let it not be on its last leg
