Hotel, staff and room were all excellent.

Rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff was very friendly.

Staff, some of the best friendliest staff in Hualtulco. Jose and Francisco. Went above and beyond everyday to make our experience special. Rooms and patios are nicer then your average Dreams or Barcelo. These patios are like dance floors with a view. The food for a small all inclusive is better then your big hotel chains. A small daily buffet but you can also order from a small menu. The downside of the food is that there is no room service and they will not allow you to take food to your room. Even though there is a kitchen in the room, which I found strange. So if someone isn’t feeling well. They can’t eat. The main pool doesn’t open until 10:00. Which stops people from saving pool chairs. However, most people get up before 10:00 so it would be nice to have access earlier. The major negative was our booking experience. Which was through Expedia, so the hotel isn’t completely to blame. However, the rate that we were quoted through Expedia in Mexican peso’s. When we paid the hotel uses their own exchange rate NOT what the posted exchange rate is. It was explained as a banking exchange rate. But be aware when checking in what the actual exchange rate is when checking in. It was our neglect for assuming the hotel would use the posted rate. But it was much higher. Resulting in each one of our reservations paying $250-$400 more then our Expedia booking. We so love this hotel in every other was, but this experience was a little disappointing

The location is stunning, the most beautiful beach that s clean and so uncrowded, so private. The staff were nice and helpful. There is not enough room around the pools for the number of people. To get a chair in the area of the infinity pools, you need to be up and at the pool before 6 and be prepared to stay until past breakfast. If I’m on vacation, I’d rather not get up that early. The one day I attempted that madness, I was there from 5:15 until 6:15 then went back to the room to get ready for breakfast and the staff removed my towels and belongings. There are some spots at the less sought after pools (no view) and sometimes the beach. I was frustrated by the process. The Portofino restaurant was very good but otherwise the food was rather bland and seldom warm or freshly prepared. But honestly, I’d stay again for the beautiful beach and view.

This property is unbelievable. You are in paradise and have the beach/pools to yourself due to limited occupancy.

Clean, customer service was excellent

This hotel is so impeccably designed and the restaurant is 5-star. We loved our room, to the point I was taking pictures to incorporate design elements at home. Bocana Beach is very quiet, but a gorgeous place for a long walk. The hotel restaurant is so good, but there are also a couple of places right on the beach if you want cheap eats or a drink. 2 minutes away is a nice park where you can see some ruins and get a little exercise. We rented a car, so it was easy for us to travel to different beaches and bays, which were beautiful. I highly recommend Organa for something kinda secluded (a 10-minute flat hike out) and La Entrega for families (there are restaurants and seating, plus very very calm water) We come from NYC, so we are used to noise. If you aren't, then the roosters crowing outside the hotel in the early morning may bother you. It didn't bother us. I'm sure if you sleep with the door closed and the A/C on (we slept with screen door open), then it wouldn't be as loud. Just something to be aware of if you are hyper sensitive to noise. There is a lot of development happening in the area near the hotel, but we never heard noise that bothered us. But I am sure in 2 years, there will be a lot more travelers going to this area because of the increase in condos, airbnbs, etc.

The location. Close to a beach with very little people. Truly relaxing! I do recommend stick up on bevvied and snacks.
