Texada Island Adventure Vacations

My favourite place to stay when in Vancouver. I'm here often and the staff is exceptional and the location cannot be beat. Checked in late on this particular trip, so the usual staff that recognizes me wasn't working - hoping they'd leave a note on my name/ account so that you're always greeted and welcomed back. Not a huge deal, just something to note.

Really like the suite concept and size of rooms but property feels old and poorly maintained. Could be much better if attended to

Overall, our stay was fine. My expectations may have been too high based on other reviews. The rooms were a bit tight but the beds were good and the kitchenette was handy. Staff was super friendly and offered a lot of suggestions & tips. Unfortunately they didn’t do much to compensate for the fact that the hot tub wasn’t working, which was a main attraction to this hotel and much needed after a day of hiking. Free laundry was a nice bonus but their irons need an upgrade - we tried 3 and gave up - they were either burned on the bottom or broken. I imagine this place was pristine when it opened but it might need a light refresh and a few repairs. Otherwise location was great and it does have some charm.

We were immediately welcomed and helped with luggage and parking. The staff goes above and beyond in helpfulness and was very friendly. Since we were celebrating my daughter’s graduation she was given a gift card to a nearby store. That was an exciting and appreciated bonus. The surroundings are clean and luxurious, the food is beautiful and delicious, the room was so clean and pleasant. The enchanted tea we enjoyed was definitely the highlight.
