Rhodope Mountains Adults Only Vacations

After spending one night at a "horror hotel" upon arrival, we were able to book our group into the Best Western Plus Olives City Hotel. This was the right move - we were three adults and two kids, and the "two-room apartment" they had on the 7th floor was perfect, and an added bonus of a hotel parking and an indoor pool made our lives easier for the duration of the stay. Breakfast was good too! Recommend!

A bit away from the centre but otherwise excellent.

Clean room, good facilities. Close to gondola with frequent shuttle, ski hire in the building with friendly and helpful staff.

What a delightful experience. Beautifully situated in the Old Town this charming renovated building with an amazing art collection was a pleasure from start to finish. We were offered an upgrade for a very reasonable price which gave us a first class choice of the different generous breakfasts. The staff were outstanding- helpful accommodating and friendly. The room was lovely. However the bathroom had no hooks and no shelf space which was awkward and the toilet was actually INSIDE the shower area which meant everything including the toilet roll holder got wet!! Rather than bitsy little plastic bottles for shower amenities a wall dispenser would be more practical however the towels were thick and plentiful. Room has a charming small balcony and piped music. Overall highly recommended!

It was a perfectly fine hotel, the bed was great and pillows were firm not hollow like hotels tend to give, breakfast was okay, the traditional Bulgarian breakfast. My only real issue other than some missing basic amenities like an iron, was that the shower looked like it had deep mold in it and every time I showered a mass amount of water would fall out onto the floor and I'd often have to soak it up with towels.

Great hotel very close to main attractions, with spacious rooms and an excellent staff. (Special thanks to Ivailo who made our stay especially memorable with his willingness to help and his wonderful sense of humor.) As a bonus, the hotel also contains the largest collection of contemporary Bulgarian art--there's fabulous art everywhere, the lobby, hallways, individual rooms, breakfast area, everywhere. The pool and fitness room are really nice; the pool requires a swim cap so be sure to take one.
