In the middle of a beautiful jungle but only a couple minute drive to restaurants and shopping. Also very conveniently located for seeing Rio Celeste and other tours. I loved the upper balcony that overlooks the jungle. We woke up every morning to the sounds of monkeys, toucans and many other birds. At night there was a firefly show that took my breath away! Absolutely would recommend...

The grounds are tropical gardens and each cabin is gorgeously designed with local and recyclable materials. breakfast in the garden is divine and dinner in the evenings is hearty with local farm fresh products. "Simply wonderful!! Great location, beautiful scenery with lots of toucans and other birds on the property. The villas are brand new, very clean and comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious and varied. Nilla and Stéphane were extremely attentive and friendly and had great recommendations for activities in the Bijuagua region. A real gem."

"The hosts were very responsive and helpful. We would book this stay again! It had everything we needed for our family of 8. The home itself is beautiful, clean and the attention to detail was very much appreciated. Its a 50 min drive to La Fortuna. The host provided a very detailed pdf on suggestions around the house - we gladly used all of them and it did not disappoint! We are so glad we booked! "

"Bret and his crew were awesome people, friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The property is wonderful, we hiked it almost everyday following the many trails and finding plateaus with amazing views of Lake Arenal. Sitting on the patio having a favourite beverage, we listened to howler monkeys, saw white faced monkeys, and many species of birds including parrots and toucans. Overall we had a wonderful vacation and would highly recommend a stay at CRParaiso."

"This is a very unique house in a very quiet and peaceful location. We only visited for 1 night so we did not get to enjoy it as much as we could have. Small miscommunication with our booking but as we went on an evening tour, things were straightened out and all was well by the time we returned. Amazing Property for both small families and large groups!

"This property is amazing! It is steeped in Costa Rican charm including hand-painted tiles and murals and hand-carved doors. Amazing views of the lake and the volcano. Patrick was very helpful recommending activities and helping getting them set up. The house is large, but it's set up in a way that our 4-person family still felt cozy. It also has a relatively accessible bedroom on the first floor that makes it perfect for those with older family members."

"Greivin & Heylin thought of everything when creating the Yarumo Lodge Rio Celeste Black Chalet! My family of 4, including 12 and 16 year old sons, had a fabulous weeklong stay at the end of June. The location was easy to find, the hosts were hospitable--welcoming us at arrival with a nice treat and overview of the property, including a resource guide for local attractions, dining, and activities. The beds were comfortable and the full kitchen was stocked with all the cooking essentials to prepare meals from food we purchased at the grocery that's less than 10 minutes away. We look forward to staying here every time we travel to Bijaqua de Upala."

"An amazing place with a super staff. They can help plan different activities around the area, and are very helpful with any request. We had a great time staying there. Monkeys and a toucan just outside our room, and we went on a jungle hike to see sloths and other creatures just 10 minutes away. They’re very committed to sustainable living and eco tourism. "

"My wife and I loved this property. 3 adults and 2 children in our group. If you are okay with simple accommodations with great service and beautiful scenery you have to stay here. Grounds were immaculate when we arrived and we were greeted with 2 Toucans as we headed to our cabin. Tons of hummingbirds flying around. This place just felt so full of life! The hikes on the property were great. Took my 77yr old dad to the waterfall. He had no issues. We were the only ones there our first day and our family had the place to ourselves. It felt like our personal playground. Dinner and breakfast onsite was great and lots of food. Super fresh! Would highly recommend it if you're looking to be with nature! I will definitely come back!"
