Nestled just a 10-minute drive from the slopes of Winter Park Ski Resort and a 5-minute drive from the thrills of Colorado Adventure Park, this cozy retreat offers the perfect base for your mountain getaway. As you step inside, you'll be greeted by a warm and welcoming living space, complete with a crackling fireplace to unwind by after a day on the mountain. Prepare delectable meals in the fully stocked kitchen, equipped with a stove, oven, refrigerator, and all the necessary appliances and utensils. Savor your culinary creations at the dining table, or step outside to the porch and enjoy the fresh mountain air. When it's time to relax, head to the rec center (3 minute walk) to take a dip in the heated pool or soothe your muscles in the hot tub. Once there, you can also enjoy the small gym, the living area, a rowdy game of pool, and the play space for kids. The rec center has full locker rooms and showers for your convenience. At the condo, stay connected with the free WiFi, enjoy a movie on the TV in the living room, or get out some games and books. The ski closet is stocked with sleds, corn hole, and a few outdoor recreation tools for your enjoyment. With 2 bathrooms, towels, extra blankets, and essential amenities, this condo has everything you need for a comfortable and carefree stay. Enjoy the convenience of a washing machine and dryer and know that it’s pretty well prepared for your little ones with a pack ‘n play, booster seat for the table, stools for the bathroom, and kid friendly kitchen necessities. We love to cook and travel, so we’ve done our best to stock the kitchen for your ease. There’s heaps of pots and pans, knives, seasonings, a rice cooker, a crockpot, a coffee machine, a blender, a toaster, and there’s even a large pan for roasting a turkey. Feel free to ask about anything specific you might want! Location is key as a guest in Winter Park, and our condo is in a lovely space. It’s just far enough off the main road to be nice and quiet, but it’s close enough that you’re a 5 minute walk to a natural grocery store and restaurants. Another 5-10 minutes puts you in Cooper Creek (downtown Winter Park) where you’ll find heaps of yummy food, shops, rental gear, etc…. A 2 minute walk out the door can put you on the Fraser Trail (flat trail that goes for miles - great for kids, bikes, runs, cross country skiing, lovely walks, bird watching, etc…). A 2 minute walk or ride can also put you right into the backcountry where you’re off and running on hundreds of trail great for everything from mountain biking to cross country skiing, hiking, snowshoeing, and laughing. May guests like to know how to get to the resort. Literally right outside of our condo, there is a free bus that can pick up you and your skis for the day and they take you right to the base. From there, if you prefer to be on the Mary Jane side, you can take another free shuttle. We have a locked ski closet outside the condo and locked bike storage available on the back deck. Or, you can drive to the resort. They have paid parking available on the Winter Park side and free parking can sometimes be found on the Mary Jane side. Of course, we’re available to help with any questions. Communication with the host was great. The only negative is you can easily hear the foot steps of the people above. The owners went above and beyond to ensure you have everything you need for your vacation. My family and I stayed here and we loved every part of it. We rarely left the property because the sledding and visiting the pool/hot tubs was amazing. We enjoyed the fire and playing the games inside the condo at night. It was nice not having to pack so much since this place pretty much has everything you need. The owners are very efficient in communication. We will definitely be returning! No need to drive anywhere! The pool and hot tubs were a great amenity to have and the kids enjoyed them very much. We had never been to Winter Park…I can imagine it’s quite busy in the winter season, but during Sept/Oct it is not busy at all! Their winter season starts mid November so a lot of the tourist things aren’t open during those months. This didn’t bother us at all (still plenty to do), but something to keep in mind if you are wanting more activities. We walked to the Rec Center down the street and spent half a day there using the pools and slide and playing basketball. Not too expensive but there is a fee. Our trip was cut short due to no fault of the hosts and they graciously offered us a refund! If I had one suggestion it would be to have TV’s in the bedrooms, but that is a personal preference that won’t bother most other people I’m sure ;) Thank you again for a great getaway and being such wonderful hosts. We loved this place - everything about it! The Hi Country House places are our favorite in the area. They are close to everything and the pool house is really clean and enjoyable for our family. There were 5 adults and 3 kids staying in this condo and we were all very comfortable. The beds were great. Tons of towels, including pool towels. Very well appointed if you have little kids - step stools, humidifiers, games, plastic dishes and cups - all of it is there for your convenience. And, the kitchen is very well stocked with anything you could ask for. Lots of glasses, silverware, plates, etc. Didn't have to run the dishwasher more than a couple of times during the week. The location is great and being on the first floor was definitely a bonus. We would 100% stay here again and highly recommend it! ##### Erin F. Wonderful place that was really convenient to the shuttle for skiing and walkable to restaurants. Plenty of space for our family and very clean with everything we needed.
