"Although the weather did not really cooperate (rained for the first 2 days), we still found the home cozy, peaceful and and the area serene. A beautiful location right on the lake. We go once a year with our four wheelers to northern Vermont and this was a great riding area. Lots of trails with stops along the way (Parker Pies, Bakersfield, Morgan Store). Jim and his wife were there when we arrived. Very nice people. Would recommend to hikers, ATV'ers, and just folks who want to get away. PS....

"Stayed for 4 days of fishing. We loved the location, the appearance of the house and there was plenty of parking space for 2 trucks and 2 boats. All instructions were clearly communicated. House was clean and well stocked. All the necessary kitchen items are there. The lake is beautiful and if you are a fisher-person there are plenty of fish waiting to be caught. The ‘Queen and twin’ in the upstairs bedroom are bunk beds which was a bit of a surprise but we made due. Would definitely stay again."

It’s an older house and while it does have low ceilings (only a slight issue for me in the stairway as I’m 6’2”), it has significant modern updates and a lot of charm. "Nice, cozy house at a fair price. Most essentials were easily accessible. Drivable to Stowe and other tourist areas in Vermont. Lack of blinds in all the windows and uncomfortable bed and couch were drawbacks."

"Nothing to share but the kindest of words for Danny and his property. Gorgeous location, dog friendly and close in proximity to Jay. We felt safe crating our dogs while we rode, and took the liberty of doing some exploration on the property while we were there. Can definitely see us renting again (and again) if Danny lets us!"
