"This eccentric hotel was very clean. The two onsite restaurants were both very good. The concierge staff was successful in getting us a cab to get to our cruise ship on time. The only negatives were: 1) I did not receive a response to an inquiry about cruise shuffles before our arrival and 2) guest services did not tell us that our room was at the top of a steep flight of stairs. We had to return to the front desk for a bellman and did not get our luggage for another 2 hours."

We only experienced one hiccup-one of our suitcases was missing from the storage area when we went to collect it after breakfast. There was a window open but only a top window so no air came through. Also, the towel rail in the bathroom was heated so it was even hotter in there! The bed was very comfortable & the cooked breakfast was good."
