"We loved the place! The cabin was sweet, clean and well equipped!The patio with propane fire pit was wonderful. It did get a little warm in bedroom, upstairs, as there is no air-conditioning..just FYI.Host was great to communicate with!"

"Our “classic” room faced the morning sun, and the pull-down shade did little to stop the room from lighting up at sunrise. Surely they could have invested in some blackout curtains. The combination of rain showerhead and low water pressure was unsatisfying, along with whatever that gunk was that was causing the bathtub to drain so slowly. But the big problem arose with the meals. Guests are supposed to enjoy a complimentary full-scale breakfast on the weekends. When we checked in, we were told that because they were having a Mother’s Day brunch at 11 AM (which we were not made aware of in advance), they were only going to hand out a breakfast burrito to guests that morning. I booked a table at their”Eighteen99” restaurant for 7:45 PM. Our server was friendly but clumsy and forgetful. The highlight of the dinner was the crab cake appetizer; unfortunately, it took 35 minutes to arrive. I ordered the $60 elk dinner. The preparation looked like it had been slapped together – – a barely seasoned boiled potato, quarter of an onion wedge, and meat that was overcooked (but not inedible) and a little bit of salty au jus on the side. During the meal, I asked our waiter about the absence of bread service, which seemed unusual for a restaurant of this kind. He gasped and said he completely forgot, and brought us each a tiny roll. We were told that half of their four dessert offerings were unavailable, and when I asked for a refill of iced tea, I was told that they also ran out of that!"

"Nice location in Cloudcroft, and yes, walking distance to pretty much everything. Very comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, and the electric fireplace was very much enjoyed when it got down in the 40's overnight! Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again."

"Staff was very helpful with finding local places to eat. The pool and hot tub were a very relaxing after a long day of hiking. The parking in the basement was very convenient for bringing bags in. The property was maintained spotlessly. One day we stayed was a grab and go breakfast but it was a good grab and go (breakfast burritos and breakfast sandwiches). My wife and I were extremely pleased with the stay."
