Guest access The entire home is for your exclusive use. Guests can easily access the property with a keypad. Guests can access the home using the detailed Self Check-In instructions emailed/texted to them after booking. Other things to note PLEASE READ Prior to Reserving: \- Check-in is at 4 PM. \- Check-out is at 11 AM. Sometimes we can accommodate. \- Please respect the noise curfew past 9 PM \- No unregistered guests allowed (Unless communicated to the host). Only registered guests are allowed on site. All guests 18+ must be registered through Vrbo. We reserve the right to ask for all guest names and ages. A $50 per night per person fee will be assessed for any unauthorized guests staying at the property. \- No parties or events are allowed \- No Pets allowed \- Please take care of the furnishings. You have to pay for damages that exceed the security deposit \- Number of guests booked must reflect the exact number of guests staying at the property \- No illegal substances are allowed on the premises \- No smoking inside is allowed. Any evidence of smoke inside the home will be documented and reported to the platform's resolution center. Guests are liable for any and all damages and may be charged up to $300 per occurrence if smoke is detected in the home. \- Please put dishes in the dishwasher and start before you leave \- We provide basic cleaning supplies and kitchen supplies. Please do not take any of this with you when you leave as this is for every guest who stays at The Gathering Alexandria. \- We have professional cleaners on staff that come immediately after our guests' checkout. Prior to cleaning, our staff thoroughly inspects the property for damage and stolen goods. Any overt damage (beyond normal wear and tear) or stolen goods will be reported to the platform's resolution center and billed to guests directly. IMPORTANT NOTES: Please note that the property has 1.5 bathrooms. Do not use the shower in the basement. Think of all the items that we offer ( toilet paper, towels, soap, trash bags, etc.) as "STARTER KITS", and be sure to bring additional items and items that are more appropriate for the length of your stay and the size of your group. In an effort to maintain a secure premise, the home is equipped with two exterior cameras that actively record video and sound as well. One camera is on at the front overlooking the front yard of the home, and the second is in the back of the home overlooking the back yard. The cameras are ONLY on the exterior, and there are no cameras on the inside. Host bears no responsibility for any accident, injury, or illness that you may sustain during your stay. I cannot recommend this home.1\. The host neglected to send me home access info until I requested it, 4 hours prior to arrival.2\. We stopped for groceries before we arrived, when I opened the refrigerator to put away our food, it looked clean but there was a terrible odor. One of the vegetable drawers had a lot of water that had collected. Once we emptied that it got better.3\. The beds and bedrooms looked as the online presentation showed, but one towel and wash cloth per bed didn’t quite cover our group.4\. Hall light was strobing, and several light bulbs were missing or not working.5\. 1st night it became clear that the mattress on queen bed (master?) was a nightmare. My husband and I had to take turns sleeping. The mattress was completely broken down in the center with a serious slope. It needs replacing and was totally unacceptable. There was a pull out bed in the basement but we could not locate the sheets.6\. Put all our dishes in the dishwasher, ran it on day 2\. We were touring the city so not there to supervise that it was actually running. Returned to find it had run but the dishes were not even close to clean. I ran it again thinking something was stuck, when I pulled out the bottom rack it kept going onto the floor & broke a plate. No dish towels/rag/sponge7\. I texted with the host, told him our concerns. He said he could not help mattress but sent towels/sheets/rags/ ![Hard to tell but this was not a good situation for 2 people. We’re a family of 4 with guy/girl teens. The basement living area was perfect for our son. The neighborhood is quaint and the folks we saw out and about around there were super friendly! The Huntington Metro stop is a short ride from the airport. The walk to the house is about 10 mins, but if you have large luggage like we did, maybe a few mins more. Communicating with Kevin is very easy, and even an FYI while at the house I sent over was replied to within hours. We did a Walmart delivery order to the house for some food supplies while there since we did not utilize a car. I always bring laundry supplies when we travel, but if you do plan on doing any laundry while staying here, add that to your delivery order or bring your own. There is car parking if you bring one. Kreurig machine for coffee is there for use. It may seem far from all of the action in DC, but if you are a traveling family, it really is a great haven to rest. The Metro is a fun ride and you are in the middle of everything with a short ride on it. ##### Nickiey R. Kevin was great at communicating just before and during our trip, and we enjoyed having a back deck. The basement, master bedroom, and eating area were all smaller than expected, but it was very nice to have enough spaces for sleeping our teens and to have two full bathrooms in this price range. The house is cozy, clean, and comfortable. It is well located, and we were glad to have parking. Quiet neighborhood, near metro and major interchange. Coffee and shopping just a short drive away. Fun to have a game room. Plenty of room to spread out too. Would definitely stay here again. (very picky suggestion - bedside lamps would be a nice addition to your great property) ##### L W. Two moms and teens visiting DC staying in a place that was so clean and every detail thought of! It was a max 20 min Uber ride anywhere we went on a charming street. Super safe and quiet. Bonus touches: Lavazza coffee bar and white noise machine, both of which I purchased upon coming home to Denver! Host was so easy to work with and the arcade room was aces! The place was exactly as described. The water bottles and snacks was a nice touch. My kids enjoyed the games in the basement, that provided hours of entertainment. The location was great, just a short 20 minute drive to DC and less than 10 minutes from National Harbor. ##### Carlos O. Enjoyed leisurely breakfast in the morning before sightseeing in VA/DC for the day and came back to a clean, comfortable place for evening dinners and family fun / relax time. +Really great little place that's close to the metro to get to the city +Back porch was nice to enjoy the summer evenings +Game room was fun! +House manual PDF was really handy for planning our stay -Shower downstairs was out of order so that made it tricky for party of 5 -Backyard needed the lawn mowed.
