"Really, things were pretty good. We liked the location and I enjoyed my run on the horse trail. "Room with a view" would have been pretty accurate on the other side of the building. Our view was of farm equipment and a bus. That wasn't a huge problem really. The host asks that windows and doors stay closed (to keep out insects) and that temperature on thermostat not be adjusted. However, we were so utterly uncomfortable because it was soooo hot in the room. Sorry, but we had to break the rules...

"Wow, this place gives you the warm welcoming feeling just like you are at home with its very special and beautiful decoration. The owner gave lots of love to te interior design. She owns the coffee shop down stair that has a little of everything. The town shopping center is just 5 minutes drive. To park in front of the door you need to drive up a stiff hill. "Erla's cozy red cottage was in the perfect place for us to get to after arriving early in Reykjavik. We were easily able to get to the things we wanted to see and do...Borgarnes and the Snefellsnes Penn. The house was spotless, the living area was spacious, and the beds were comfortable. We so enjoyed the hot tub after a long day witnessing the magic of Iceland. We would have stayed longer if there had been more days available."
