Perfect for families! ADDITIONAL INFO The apartment can host up to 5 people: there is a double bedroom with an additional single sofa bed (perfect for a child), and the double sofa bed in the living room is a great solution if you wish to wake up to an amazing view. The living room and kitchen create a wide open space, large and bright, provided with all the necessary tools to enjoy a delicious dinner... with a view! The terrace overlooking the lake and the Comacina island has an outdoor table and chairs for 4, as well as reclining chairs to relax in the sun 365 days per year. EXTRAS In this property, pets are not allowed. Baby beds are available at an extra cost. Extra cleaning and linen are available at an additional cost. Transportation can be provided, please contact us! ACCESSIBILITY Stairs must be taken to reach the building from the main road. PARKING Convenient free parking inside the building is available to the guests. There is space for one car. There is also paid street parking in the neighborhood. NEIGHBORHOOD This apartment is located in the Ossuccio village in Tremezzina: a 20-min walk to Villa del Balbianello and a 30-min drive (by car) to the historic center of Como. GETTING AROUND The convenient private parking makes \\"Ossuccio Island View\\" a desirable accommodation for those who are traveling by car. Traveling to and from Ossuccio is also doable with public transport. There is an ASF Autolinee bus stop near the property, and line C10 can take you to Como city and other lakeside towns. Tickets can be obtained from the driver (cash only) or in some designated places. The nearest ticket selling point is \\"Edicola Larese\\" in Via Statale, 49\. Please note that the buses don\\'t run very often and services stop at around 10 pm! Taxi rides are available from Como, but not easily attainable in the region. In Ossuccio, it will be almost impossible to get a taxi. The nearest ferry station is in Lenno, and the local ferry service will take you to Bellagio or Como, or other towns. From Como, it is easy to travel to Milan and Switzerland (Lugano, Bellinzona, Locarno) by train. There are also public ferries traveling to other lakeside towns from the pier in Como center. The nearest airports are Milano Malpensa, Milano Linate, and Orio Al Serio in Bergamo. It is possible to arrange a direct shuttle to and from the airport at an additional cost. TIPS \>To travel and walk around Lake Como, especially in the little towns, comfortable shoes are a must. \>There are many public drinking-water fountains in the little towns, and the water is safe to drink unless stated otherwise. Tap water is also drinkable. You can carry your own refillable bottle! \>If you are looking for an easy hike in the area and want to enjoy mountain views anyway, Lake Como Greenway is an easy-to-follow trail that doesn\\'t require too much walking uphill. The Greenway connects the lakeside towns from Colonno to Griante and goes through Ossuccio. Look for signs indicating Greenway in the area! \>From Ossuccio, you can take the taxi-boat to Isola Comacina. \>In Italy, many shops (especially the little ones) and services are closed in the middle of the day, so be careful to plan your shopping accordingly. \>Lake Como is one of the deepest lakes in Europe and the deepest in Italy. Swimming and diving are prohibited in many areas and can be dangerous. For those who wish to dwell in the water, however, there are some options. In the near vicinity, there is Lido di Ossuccio and Lido di Lenno. In other little towns, there are more tiny beaches and lakeside bars. Lido di Bellagio and pebbly San Giovanni beach will be waiting for those who wish to cross the waters and explore the beautiful town of Bellagio. Locals and visitors also enjoy traveling to Nesso on the other coast where the bravest swimmers can jump into the lake from the ancient Roman bridge near the waterfall. \>Lake Como is located in a mountainous region. The surrounding pre-Alps might not seem very high, but the climate is nevertheless affected by the nearby mountains, and temperatures can change quickly. The check-in process was a little difficult, and the garage was hard to find and turn into. The street is narrow, and to get into the garage, you have to make a sharp u-turn type turn into the garage. The space itself is a little tight. We got used to it, but just be aware, don't get it if you have a big rental car. The door handle was wobbly and a little difficult. Only one AC unit in the living room, not the bedroom. We had great weather while we were there, so no biggie for us, but if you're there during a hot period, it may be uncomfortable. There are a couple fans too. No dryer for any Americans visiting, you can use the washer and then hang dry on the rack.The apartment itself had everything we needed, but it had small ants by the sliding door that we had to kill. The view is great, and walking on the Como Greenway is fun. We also walked to Villa Balbianello. We enjoyed our stay, but just be aware of that garage and the tight streets of Lake Como, not for the faint of heart. ##### Daniel C.
