"What a beautiful and tranquil home away from home the writer’s retreat was. Hearing the sound of the surf from Hirtle’sBeach and breathing in the clean crisp air were true gifts! The home felt homey with everything you would ever need provided. We loved our time in Kingsburg and would not hesitate to stay again. A truly unique and restful retreat located within the glorious South Shore of Nova Scotia. Such a wonderful place to explore."

"The house was a perfect retreat for our family. Beautifully decorated and well equipped. The view was fantastic, we saw seals, lions and even a deer swimming. No fog (unbelievable), just sunshine. Location is great - close to LaHave and beaches. Enjoyed outside decks/ furniture, and hot tub and sauna. Had a lobster dinner at the outside table! Host was responsive to our concerns ( propane tank empty and sauna light not working). Opportunity for improvement would be lawn maintenance. Trimming grass around the fire pit area and fences."

"We loved our stay in this large, charming, antique home! It was comfortable, clean, peaceful, and an excellent value. Mike was extremely responsive and helpful, and the home was very well supplied with everything we needed. We especially appreciated the washer and dryer, they were a wonderful convenience during our stay. We truly enjoyed our time here and would happily stay again!"
