"My family of 4 stayed at this property and were impressed by the rooms and the location. It was a little difficult to find but this was one of the reasons we liked it. We were greeted by james, the owner who was very friendly and helpful. At short notice he made us a lovely 3 course meal that was very tasty and good value for money. "This is a beautiful property with unique, rustic design situated in the middle of the village, definitely off the beaten path! "We stayed at Simba for 4 days and our time there was so great. The staff were so welcoming, friendly and helpful. The restaurant food was absolutely delicious (we ate breakfast there every morning and dinner there every night). The pool was well used by my three kiddos and the lounge chairs were a nice touch next to the pool. We would definitely stay here again! "

"I had a wonderful stay at Park Hyatt Zanzibar overall — the service, rooms, location in Stone Town, and breakfast were all excellent and met the Park Hyatt standard. However, the beach/oceanfront experience was very disappointing. I specifically paid extra for an oceanfront room, expecting serene views, but instead the shoreline is dominated by ugly docked boats and ferry traffic, which completely takes away from the view and atmosphere. The beach area itself offers little to nothing in terms of relaxation or beauty. It’s a great hotel, but if you’re booking for an oceanfront or beach experience, manage your expectations — it’s not what the upgrade suggests."
