Perfectly located

Conveniently located to sporting event my kids were participating in over 3 days. Just a ahort walk to the beach was a bonus And close to shopping centre

The only downfall was lack of parking, we own a large vehicle that wouldn’t fit in underground parking and there were no vacant parks on the property

- we were not informed that the apartment had limited aircon. Loungeroom aircon and main bedroom aircons could not be used at the same time. Two of the three bedrooms do not have aircon, with 3 children this was a nightmare with the heat and humidity - there were dead and live cockroaches, a cockroach egg sack in one of the single beds (photo proof) - the tiled surfaced in the kitchen area was greasy and slippery - dishes plates cups knives etc were not cleaned properly (we had to wash before use, some had excessive dust and hair on them, some were also wet) - the ensuite toilet had faecal remains in it - the floor in the toilet of main bathroom was sticky, so disgusting - the main bathroom shower was not clean and has mould (photo proof) - the fridge was not cold on arrival - no blackout blinds in the living area to early reduce the morning light/heat - surfaces were not cleaned properly or regularly. Food and water residue on dining table legs. Dust build up on bar chair legs, bedside tables and carpet - carpets not vacuumed properly. Infant crawler found multiple items to put in his mouth - fly screens doors are not secure. Unable to be locked and the screen itself was loose/holes etc. not safe for children - Apartment 23 is NOT a 4 star apartment! - the booking was made for 4 adults and 3 children; only the main bedroom had a double bed; the other bedrooms were made up as 4 singles. What 4 star rated resort would expect adults to sleep in single beds (unless requested)

Our recent stay at Surfside on the Beach was disappointing. Despite booking a top-floor three-bedroom room with promised ocean views, the reality was vastly different. The room lacked the advertised views, and its condition was subpar. Old, stained curtains, dirty floors, and musty bathrooms greeted us. Bedding configurations didn't match what was promised, despite confirmation. Props to Ebony for helping with an extra bed, but it didn't salvage the experience. The sole air conditioning unit in the lounge was inadequate, making west-facing rooms unbearably hot on warm days. On the upside, the grounds were well-maintained, offering a pleasant alternative to missing ocean views. Underground parking was convenient, though the lack of elevators made hauling luggage up multiple floors unexpected. Overall, our stay fell short. Despite commendable staff efforts, the disparity between promised amenities and reality was disappointing. With hopes for a fulfilling stay dashed, we left unsatisfied. We will not return to this hotel. Expedia also need to ask the property to update the photos and descriptions on the Expedia website, as this is NOT what the property looks like inside anymore

This property’s aircon was not working in the bedroom and the ceiling fan wasn’t working properly either. Conditions were stifling. The unit had not been cleaned very well with a thick layer of dust on the tv unit in the bedroom and the floor! The TV screen in the bedroom was damaged. There was a loaf of mouldy bread in the pantry. The frying pans looked disgusting as was the cupboard where they were stored. The office was closed on the public holiday so we had to endure the stifling conditions in the bedroom or sleep on the couches in the lounge. We reported everything to the front office on the Sat morning and received a call from the on-site manager. It was easy to tell he wasn’t happy. We were told the aircon was to be fixed that coming week. So they had rented the unit knowing the aircon wasn’t working. The manager attended the apartment while we were out. He cleaned the three pans and put a pedestal fan into the unit. This was so disappointing. The washing machine was absolutely filthy. We don’t go on holiday to start cleaning up after other people. There was no further communication with the manager either. No offer of compensation. The standards of Surfside on The Beach have slipped dramatically.

The apartment complex was very nice and in a great location. The apartment itself was average to be fair. It needs maintenance and thorough cleaning, one of the couches was not usable and the wifi didn’t work in any of the bedrooms and barely worked in the lounge by modern standards.

The location was perfect. Direct beach access was incredible. The view from the balcony and sound of the waves at night I loved. One of the pools was heated which the kids loved as we stayed in winter. The unit we stayed in was spacious, 3bdrm. Had books and games for kids. Kitchen was well equipped. Tiles in all areas inside apartment were hard on feet though. Cockroach bait traps were left throughout which was a hazard for my toddler and I also had a big live cockroach on the bench surprise me one night. Glass Sliding door to balcony had no safety sticker and one of my kids walked into it thinking door was open and got hurt. Washer dryer combo machine took a very long time to dry clothes.We had a power cut while we stayed for 4 hours which wasn’t great. Designated parking spot for each unit underground but the spaces and area underneath is so small so I couldn’t park down there with my imax despite it being under the height restriction, definitely for small cars only. There is some street parking though which we used. Lady at front office was lovely. You Have to use a key to open every single door/ use lift etc. means everything is super safe but it was a pain with kids and the key gets stuck in the locks. Trying to hold a kids hand and turn the key and the door handle at the same time was difficult. I’d probably stay again purely for the location and the lovely staff, but the interior could definitely do with being updated/refreshed a bit.

Property was absolutely disgusting. Stains on white bed sheets, air conditioner unable to be used as it hasn’t been cleaned in a very long time. Fans and walls in bedrooms were covered in thick dust. All cooking utensils were dirty. Food left in freezer. Nice unit, however needs a very good clean.

We stayed at Surfside for a family wedding nearby. Surfside was located close to the venue, the beach, Point Cartwright and shopping are all within walking distance. Beautiful views from the balcony.

Pleasant, peaceful & relaxing.

We stayed for 5 nights & the apartment was well appointed with everything we needed. It was spacious, airy & a relaxing atmosphere. I enjoyed morning swims at the nearest of the 3 pools. The temp was comfortably cool to do some short laps. The bed was a little firm but ok. Having an overhead fan really helped during the humid nights. We enjoy SBS TV series so needed the wifi connection which worked most of the time. The apartment was 2 bedroom averaging about $200p night so basically value for money. The key system was frustrating at times being required for the lift & entering/exiting the parking garage. made the mistake of trying to enter the central building & not the northern one as it was night & the entrances look similar. Some signage on the garage & the main apartment doors might help avoid this. we were not the 1st to end up trying to "break into" the wrong area. If you go to the top deck of your apartment you get some sea views. All in all it was a relaxing time& peaceful location to take a break. Sonia & Rob were friendly & helpful managers.

The property is perfect located and has all the amenities required. Near to everything. Unfortunately, the apartment was really outdated with very unconfutable beds and poor bed configuration. It was lacking maintenance and cleanness. The apartment was not fully airconditioned. The whole S6 apartment needs to be updated and a good throughout cleaning.
