True Ski-In/ski out condo, one of the best locations in Steamboat. Walk out of the building, down some steps and click on your skis! It's that simple and convenient. At the end of the day, ski right back to the building, and back up the steps to your unit. *Please note: There is no guarantee that there will be enough snow for this unit to be fully ski-in/ski-out in early ski season (November 15-December 15) and also in late season (after March 20). Snowfall levels vary from year to year.

Free shuttle service (winter only) - to the gondola/base area, town, restaurants, pubs or grocery store.

*Please note many amenities and features are provided and maintained by the HOA and other entities. Some features are only offered seasonally and also require occasional maintenance, cleaning, and upgrades. For example many pools and hot tubs are temporarily closed from approximately April to Memorial Day Weekend and/or Labor Day weekend to Thanksgiving. Storm Meadows is simply one of the best rental property locations in Steamboat, right on Right-O-Way Trail, providing true ski-ins ski-out accommodations. Walk out of the building, down some steps and click on your skis! Enjoy day skiing, night skiing and even a ride on the mountain coaster. It's that simple and convenient.

There is a community hot tub and fire pit right here on the property. After a day on the slopes hanging out by the open fire pit to roast marshmellows and watch the beautiful mountain sunset.

The condo features an open living area with ample comfortable seating for 4 people. Sit back and relax by the new electric fireplace and take in the views and/or watch the large flat screen TV. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for cooking a meal. The unit offers a dining table with 4 chairs as well as counter seating for 4 to enjoy a meal, drinks or just hang out and play a game.

The master bedroom features a queen sized bed, mountain views and a full bathroom including a shower and tub.

Right off the living area is a covered balcony with your own table, two chairs and mountain views. Relax and watch the sunset, night skiing and being surrounded by beautiful Christmas lights. When staying in this unit you feel like you’re in a true ski town during winter.

Your secured ski locker is in the building for all of your gear and free parking outside the building.

The building has coin-operated laundry on site.

During the summer, you are right there on the biking and hiking trails, near the roller coaster and other activities at the base of the mountain.

Most mountain residences, including this property, do not have air conditioning. Fans are provided for your comfort.

Originally started as a summer resort destination, Steamboat has become renowned for its world-class skiing and mountain biking options. And your Steamboat vacation rental will put your family in the middle of it all.

Winter activities include skiing, snowmobiling, snowboarding, biking, sledding and fishing. The city houses two ski areas – Steamboat and Howelsen Hill, Colorado's oldest continuously operated ski area. Or simply play in the smooth, dry snow, referred to as Champagne Powder, for which Steamboat is known.

Mountain biking is huge in Steamboat. Known as Bike Town USA, the city has trails for all ages and skill levels. Hundreds of miles of single track, as well as over 50 miles of downhill and freeride terrain.

Positives: unbeatable ski in/out location. Best we’ve ever had in many Steamboat visits. Locker is perfectly located. Comfortable king bed and couches. Reasonably well equipped kitchen for meal prep, etc. Same key card gives access to building, locker, and unit, which is handy. Negatives: hot water is lacking. A short shower is fine, but not 2 consecutive ones, as water goes from hot to warm, to lukewarm, to cool. Baths are not possible, for the additional reason that there is no drain stopper (we tried to supplement with stove-heated water, and it was a fail). Toilet runs unless you fiddle with the handle. Pointless piece of sheet metal beneath dishwasher kept coming dislodged. Great place, but some maintenance is needed.

Can't get better than this
This was our second time staying in this condo for a long ski weekend. Since we were there two years ago, they updated all the appliances (stove/oven, dishwasher, fridge). They also updated the bed to a super comfy king-sized bed. You cannot beat this location for ease on and off the slopes. A few short steps outside the building (on the same floor as this unit) and you're skiing. We will be back!

The listing promotes an outdoor community firepit and indoor community hottub. Neither of these amenities were functional. The firepit was completely dismantled and the hottub had a weird screen over part of it...wasn't sure what to do about that. Speaking of screens, the unit screen door to the back patio was completely detached and leaning against the wall and the main hall light cover was laying on the floor by the door to the unit. Sent an email as requested and received a response asking if I would like them to come and fix these issues. Really? The inside of the unit is very outdated and in need of some repairs, pullout couch should be replaced, cabinet by the door has half the drawer bottom missing. Why 3 stars...location. Candidly, I paid as much in fees as I did for the 3 night stay and wish they would refund most of these fees due to the lack of care and non-functional amenities.

Amazing location
Can't beat this location for a ski in/ski out condo at Steamboat. It's very easy to get in and out to enjoy the mountain from this condo. Would certainly stay here again! The unit itself hasn't been updated in a long time. The appliances, fixtures and mattress could certainly use an upgrade. But we were very comfortable and were able to ski a lot very safely and with ease.

Ski-in/Ski-Out - Can't beat it
This property has its pluses and minuses. Pluses: - It is one of the few real ski-in/ski-out properties at Steamboat. Stormy Meadows is the last of the properties on lookers left directly across from the race hill finish (All Out). Very easy access to and from skiing. - Parking is directly behind the building on the 6th floor. We had no issues finding a spot to park. This unit is on the 4th floor. Pretty easy to get your gear in and out. There is an elevator that accesses only floors 4, 5, 6 and 7. To access the skiing, must walk down from floor 4 either via stairs on the end of the building or down the concrete path (with stairs) which starts on floor 4 next to your ski locker. Having the ski locker right next to this entry was great. If you can't manage stairs in ski boots, don't rent here. The complex has made the stairs a pretty easy grade as it meanders around the outdoor fire pit and down to the slopes. Does have a ski stand so if going in and out, can leave skis slope side until you return. - Hot tub is on floor one overlooking the ski run - Lots of extra towels for your stay - Had good supply of paper towels, tp, soaps, shampoo, and conditioner - Had playing cards and a few games - Clean 50/50: - Kitchen covers the basics you would need to prep and cook meals. Bring your own spices and condiments. Did have salt and pepper and some oil (my guess from prior guests). - Coffee maker and coffee supplied - Stove is electric - Onsite coin operated washer and dryer (didn't use but detergent under sink) Minuses: - Building is older, will hear neighbors above walking on floor and in the hallway. There is a quiet time from 10pm-8am and didn't have an issue. If someone had a gathering or party, which we didn't encounter, could be an issue if trying to go to bed - Decor is dated and should be updated but is functional - Lighting should be updated to LEDs (had to replace 4 burnt out bulbs) - Deck door lock doesn't work, had wood rod to place behind door in track - never felt unsafe as on 4th floor, had to have card to access building Overall: - You can't beat the ski-in/ski-out component, very easy access to skiing. A short walk down to the main area of Steamboat gondola square. We didn't use the free shuttle service but I have stayed in other places with this and I'm sure its great (not every place offers this). If your ok experiencing what it was like in the 70/80s to be a ski bum, Stormy Meadows provides the opportunity.
