![Jaksic's Tower was originally built between the 11th and 15th centuries. Its current from dates from 1937.  When the foundations of the nearby Chapel of Saint Petka were being built, bones of Serbian soldiers who died defending Belgrade during WWI were unearthed. They were moved to a specially built ossuary under the tower.

![This church is dedicated to Saint Sava, who was the founder of the Serbian Orthodox Church, and an important figure in Serbian history. Construction began on the 10 May 1935, although was halted after the invasion of Yugoslavia during WWII. "I really liked location, friendliness of staff at the reception, at the restaurant, literally everyone was friendly and competent. The room was clean. Breakfast was also very good (if only coffee would have better quality), but all in all it was a very good breakfast- it started with salmon and ended with chia pudding without added sugar and fresh fruit. There was also live piano music and just a phantastic atmosphere. I hope to come again soon. "

"The Hotel is very luxury and beautiful, but the staff was not well trained, at least not at the St. Regis standards, in my room there was no laundry bag, no writing pen, no cotton pads. "There is absolutely nothing boutique about this place (at least in room 101). There was no hot water for the shower, or towels. Everything was very worn out, and there was mould in the bathroom. I would probably complain less if the hotel didnt call itself boutique. I only stayed for one night luckily, so didnt need the shower desperately It gets two stars for - the price, location, and good wifi. For £17 a night you get what you pay for, but ive stayed in far better for the same price, ive been around! "
