Barleans-Cozy Cabin Conveniently Located

"Overall this was an excellent stay! Very clean and cozy, comfortable living space with plenty of amenities that made it feel like home. The property was beautiful to walk our dog around, located very close to a walking and biking trail and just a 10 min drive to Arnold’s Park. Very convenient! My two minor complaints are 1) that the bathroom is actually in the bedroom, not out in the main living area, so our guests had to come through the bedroom in the middle of the night to use the toilet. It was a bit disruptive. Adding that detail to the listing would be helpful, as you can’t quite tell from the pictures. The doors to the bathroom are slatted bifold doors, not a solid wood door, so noises in the bathroom are easily heard. 2) The bed sheets were quite scratchy, very thin, and made a lot of noise when you move around. Easily remedied though by bringing your own sheets. Overall excellent stay, we greatly appreciated that it’s pet friendly! We will absolutely stay here again, just likely with our own sheets and just us as a couple without additional guests."

"We truly enjoyed our stay...the house felt warm and inviting...the quietness and views were amazing...we thank you for sharing your home with us...it was the greatest gift to our mom as she turned 80...it had been 62 years since her last visit in that area...it brought back wonderful memories...the house will not disappoint ,go check it out !"

"This was a great place for our bachelorette party. It had everything we needed and was very clean. The responsibilities at the end of the stay (laundry, garbage etc.) were minimal. There were just a few things that were disappointing. First, it was very weedy by the dock. We went in for one swim but the weeds were super thick and it was not enjoyable. The water also had a smell. It needed to be stirred up/agitated. Second, the house also had a bit of a musty smell, particularly in the basement. The smell really hit when you returned from outside after a while. Overall, it was an enjoyable stay and we had a fun weekend."

"Overall the stay at the Spirt Lake Cabin exceeded expectations. The view from the home and doc was beautiful! The lake water quality off the dock was not ideal for swimming due to north winds, but paddle boarding was a great option. The host communication with the host as needed with timely and repsectful. The area was peaceful and close to Okoboji and Aronalds Park!"
