"The staff were ok, very minimal interaction, room was clean bed was reasonably comfortable, although the shower mat had pubic hair under it and there was no hot water both in the shower and from the sink!! not good when wanting a shower. the toilets were shared so other guest not cleaned after use!!. There is no parking at the property but the local carpark was free after 5pm so not that much of a worry. i wouldnt stay again but for 1 night it was ok. location is great any easy to get too. "

"Large bedroom and recently modernised en-suite. All clean and tidy. Nice and warm (4 day stay in January). Breakfasts were excellent and the food available for the evening meals in the pub part of the hotel was also good. All of the staff were warm, friendly and helpful. The car park is big. Breakfast does not start until 7.30am. You order it from the menu the night before and it was always ready for 7.30 for me, but I was there on business it left me quite tight for getting to my meeting elsewhere on time."

"Unfortunately, our experience did not match the standard or condition presented in the listing.On arrival, the property showed numerous issues that went beyond normal wear and tear. These included worn and damaged towels, strong cigarette and damp smells throughout, visible dirt and stains on sofas and carpets, food remnants on the floor, and evidence of indoor smoking (including cigarette butts found inside a radiator grill). There was also significant damp and peeling wallpaper near bed headboards, a leaking shower, and a cracked kitchen floor that felt unsafe to walk on without shoes.Several members of our group were uncomfortable staying as a result, and four people had to find alternative arrangements. We raised these concerns with the host during the stay.The photos and description on the listing did not reflect the actual condition of the property, which was particularly disappointing given the reason for our visit and the lack of alternative accommodation available at short notice.While the location may suit some travellers, I would strongly advise future guests to be aware that the property’s current condition may not meet expectations shown online."

"Whole house stank of smoke. Filthy bedding and mattresses. 1 fork between the 7 of us. Marks on the carpets and the walls. Pile of cigarette butts outside the back door. Mattress in single room smelt very strong of urine so son had to sleep on the floor. Blinds were broken in the downstairs bedroom. The list is endless "
