The location near Vatican City is convenient, but be prepared for a bit of an uphill walk back to the hotel. Getting a taxi going back to the hotel was the biggest challenge but going down to tourists spots was easy. Taxis come up to pick you up within 5 minutes. Staff was all so nice and everyone spoke english very well. If not for the distance to get to the main drags/streets, the place was nice to stay in. Wifi was strong, airconditioning was auto turned off at night which I didn’t like. Breakfast buffet had wide choices. Definitely recommend for a family or if you’re traveling with elderly relatives, this facility is ADA friendly providing stair climbers and lifts at every necessary area. Also close to public transport links as San Pietro station is a 10 minute walk away. As other reviews note, the hotel is up a steep hill but there are 2 sets of stairs - one is a shortcut to the station and the other leads towards Vatican City. Room we stayed in could do with updating as it was quite old fashioned but beds were comfortable. Good base to stay at and travel from.
