The property ends up on the sea, which is a five minute walk from the house but it is also accessible by car. The house is surrounded by a large garden with barbecue, hammocks, deck chairs to relax and cook fresh fishand the sea is five minutes away on foot or by car. Large living room with fireplace and dining big table, in a part of the salon the old manger has been transformed in the kitchen, sofa, chairs etc. A corridor leads to the first bedroom with a double bed, a anteroom and the a bath with the shower, just renewed. The third room is very large and the ceiling is high enough to so in the mezzanine there are three single bed. Below is a large bed and a sofa bed, television and a bathroom with a shower. On the way to go to the beach , after a curve you’ll find a small bamboo house , there you’ll find a lot of useful staff for the beach like shoes, beach mattress , fins and masks and toys for children and ombrella The beach is not private, is call "Praiola Piccola", consists of round stones of various sizes. You will find a hut with everything you need for the beach as masks, fins, shoes for the beach, umbrellas and a few games. The music of the waves and the odor of the sea will delight your stay. In the season of blossom, the flower of citrus, the fragrance will be irresistible. Carrubba, the country, is situated midway between Catania and Taormina and you can find all type of shops, Riposto is reached in about 5 km . Etna, the volcano, can be reached in about half an hour and can be seen from the house. Its favorable geographical location and the proximity to the highwayallows easy access to famous places like Taormina, Acireale, Catania, Siracusa, Piazza Armerina and make excursions to the magnificent picturesque "Alcantara Gorges." Council this situation for families and groups of friends wishing to spend a holiday immersed in nature and who want to have a basis to discover Sicily and r its wonders. Le gite est très calme et on peut s'y reposer sur des transats à l'ombre des feuilles d'un plant de vigne de la terrasse ou d'un magnifique laurier rose. L'emplacement du gite nous a permis de découvrir la côte Est de la Sicile (Syracuse, Etna, gorges d'Alcantara, Taormina, iles Eoliennes...). Merci Alessandra pour ton accueil, tes conseils et tes légumes. Les citrons sont tout simplement délicieux. Nous avons passé 15 jours merveilleux dans ton gite. ##### Bertrand B. Ab da gab es keine Kommunikation zum Vermieter. Dieser reagierte auf nichts, weder auf FEWO-Chats noch auch Mails. Als wir dort ankamen haben wir das Haus fast nicht gefunden, da keine Beschreibung vorlag. Durch ein Zufall sind wir dann doch vom Vermieter empfangen worden. Dieser war ganz überrascht und hat uns auch nicht erwartet. Angeblich technische Computer-Probleme und es hat ihm dann auch leid getan. Gott sei dank war das Haus frei, konnte in 2 Stunden für uns hergerichtet werden und dann haben wir eine schöne Woche verbracht. ##### Daniel M. Séjour de 7 nuits en septembre 2024 ### 10/10 – Excellent #### Claudia S. 3 oct. 2023 Points forts : Propreté #### Wunderbarer Aufenthalt zwischen Meer und Ätna Wir haben 10 schöne Tage in dem kleinen, feinen Steinhäuschen mit wunderbarem Meer- und Ätnablick verbracht. Die Lage ist toll, es ist hübsch eingerichtet und es ist alles notwendige vorhanden. Wir haben Ausflüge in alle Richtungen unternommen. Es gibt einen Bahnhof mit Verbindung nach Catania, Syrakus, Messina, Taormina. Im kleinen Ort Carruba ist alles vorhanden, was man zum täglichen Leben braucht, Bäcker, Lebensmittelläden, Pizzeria und eine nette Bar. Die Badestrände von Riposto und Cottone waren Ende September fast menschenleer, das Meer noch schön warm und sehr sauber. Auf jeden Fall sollte man den Ätna besuchen. Alessandra hat uns bestens mit frischen Früchten wie Mango versorgt, war jederzeit ansprechbar und trotzdem sehr diskret. Vielen Dank, wir können das Häuschen nur empfehlen. ##### Claudia S. The air conditioning was unfortunately broken for our stay but we were provided with a fan which did the job fine. It's quiet, only the Etna could have been more busy. But what it's really all about is Sebastiano, living next door... He's most friendly and helpful, you hardly ever meet a person like him. He brought us e.g. his bio-vegetables and we had excellent meals. Just to mention one of many deeds. And of course there is Otto, Sebastianos small dog. Friendly too, always up for playing. And he was quickly good friends with our dog, they had oranges together every now and then and disappeared every now and then.... Life permitting we would like to come back.......All the best to Sebastiano, Otto and Alessandra, unfortunately we didn't get to know her personally. ##### Maria-Theresia K.
