The location is near several good restaurants and a grocery store. Downtown Reykjavik is only a 5-10 minute walk away. It was absolutely lovely from beginning to end! We loved the apartment in every way! The view was beautiful. The curtains really blocked out all the light which we appreciated. We only have two small suggestions. A coffee table would have been nice to rest a drink on while sitting on the couch. It would be great if there were more steaming options than just Netflix. The Landlord for the property is almost NEVER THERE and we were lucky to get into the building when someone else opened the outside door, and our password for the room itself worked. We carefully got all of our property out of the building so we could change our hotel for the rest of our first stay there. We had another booking (made at the same time as the first) that was scheduled for 8 days from now. We cancelled our second booking ... and I expected there would be a penalty for that cancellation: IT WAS THE ENTIRE PAYMENT MADE several months ago, so there was NO MONEY REFUNDED!!! We think this is ridiculous, but there is nothing we can do.
